Today I’m thrilled to share the beautiful love story of Dorothy and Wayne an amazing couple who have been 55 years married, sharing a a lifetime of commitment.
As we grow older together, as we continue to evolve with each passing year, but there is one thing that will never change ..the ability to keep falling in love with our someone special.
Images were lovingly captured by their granddaughter Kyree of Miss Kyree Loves. who brought together a fantastic photo shoot to celebrate this wonderful milestone.
Kyree says of the shoot…
Dorothy and Wayne have been married for 55 years and this shoot was to celebrate their love for each other.
I see a lot of photos of young couples, but I really wanted to capture something deeper and more moving showing a more pure kind of love, the ever lasting kind we hear about and see in movies.
But this is actually a real life love story which is really special.
My Grams and Pop are 73 years old and have been together for 57 years.
They have two children together, now two great grandchildren and have lived a very full life.
They made it their passion to travel lots and work hard in their jobs.
My Grams was a nurse and then moved to the disability services and my Pop was a carpenter and moved to being a high school art teacher later in life.
They have endured challenges recently with my Grams approaching a full shoulder replacement in April, which will have a long recovery road for her.
My Pop has also suffered with bipolar all of his life, so their love has been tested many times with many emotional breakdowns.
This photo shoot was captured in a field close to their home, on a very calm and balmy evening.
Grams wore a white gown, and gorgeous flower crown and pop wore a floral button hole, so they could reflect on their marriage and reminisce about their wedding, long ago.
