Today I am thrilled to share this exquisite collaborative Bridal shoot that is both a spotlight on stunning venue Spains Hall, but also a showcase of the work of some amazing wedding professionals.
Photographer Daniel Sakal is a dynamic and likeable Chap and pretty darn’ clever when he has a camera in his hand too!
Essex born and bred at just six years old he began snapping photos and has since travelled the world creatively capturing stunning wedding and travel photos.
Here we get the lowdown from Abi Neill of award winning Abigail’s Collection in Colchester on the collaborative bridal shoot….
So why the shoot Abi?
“I’d recently starting doing some work with Dan for my shop and he mentioned that he’d been invited by Spains Hall in Finchingfield which is an awesome wedding venue in Essex – basically to update their wedding venue marketing pics.”
“I had some cool ideas about the kind of images we should create and of course some beautiful dresses and sharp suits that could be featured!”
“He called in some stunning model friends and I called in a few of our fab Suppliers that we recommend to our Brides and hey presto, our shoot was born!”
With a shop filled with amazing dresses how did you chose what styles to use?
“Urrgghh, great question! ”
“Well I knew that I wanted to create three very different bridal looks for the shoot and had met Demi the beautiful model that we were going to work with.”
“She’s stunning and really versatile so I chose three very different looks that I felt she would (in real life) be tempted by and could carry off.”
“We’ve recently started working with the amazing Alan Hannah bridal designer and have taken on their Mia Mia collection, his dresses are graceful, elegant, classic and classy so we opted to style that gown with a nod to all things vintage.”
“Alan Hannah’s Mia Mia dress ‘Lisbeth’ was a beautifully elegant style featuring a divine high beaded lace neckline.”
“We kept hair nude (no accessories) and hair Stylist Tina created a gorgeous chignon.
“Emma, our make up artist set this look with a deep plum lip and pastal eyes, it was beautiful!
“Our second dress was a glitzy, glamorous bridal look so Tina styled Model Demi’s hair into a cascading sidesweep of gentle curls, fixed with a dominant diamante hairpiece.”
“Emma ensured that her make up was strong, glamorous and feminine.”
“This beautiful bridal dress is really striking, with its diamante encrusted sweetheart neckline and sequined lace fishtail, Demi our model loved this gown, as do we!”
“Finally I was excited to style Demi in a trendy high low hem lined short dress by Alfred Angelo!”
“This look oozed confident bridal wow factor and was funked up with a chunky neckpiece, high bee high hair do and sixties style make up including pretty pastal pink lips, smokey eyes and a sexy feline flick of liner.”
“We’d decided to go for a high fashion look for this one and Dan and I wanted some shots of our model holding oversized balloons, the results were awesome.”
Demi’s Boyfriend Sam modelled too, how was he styled?
“Yes, it worked really well, not only are they both gorgeous but the model couple obviously have chemistry.”
“Sam wore three different suits.”
“First up; a seriously smart slim royal blue three piece Westbury lounge suit accessoried with light lemon neckwear.”
“His second look was a gorgeously formal lightweight Navy Forton Tailcoat suit which he wore with a pale pink Windsor dotted waistcoat and dusky pink neckwear.”
“His third outfit was a sharp charcoal grey slimfit Stretton lounge suit accessories with an ivory striped tie.”
“His favourite was the three piece Westbury, but it has to be said he looked model cool in all three!”
Tell us a bit about the wedding venue and how it looked?
“Oh gosh well Spains Hall is an amazing wedding venue with tonnes of options for weddings.”
“This is what really impressed me about the place; there’s a stunning Elizabethan Manor House, a mega gorgeous 19th century coach house conversion, beautiful grounds, manicured gardens and a quaint cottage for the Bride and Groom to stay in too!”
“There really is something for every type of wedding style at Spains Hall.”
“At the start of the day when we had the energy we all found ourselves wanting to actually have the party!”
“You see the venue looked absolutely awesome and was all set up for a wedding.”
“The flowers were amazing, the chair covers looks fantastic and Charlotte’s Cake was literally to die for (we all got to eat some, yum)”
“I should have arranged a Registrar to be there and surprised (shocked) our model couple, lol it would have been a great wedding!”
It sounds as though the shoot was a success, will you do another?
“Yes, we sure will, Dan’s an awesome photographer and we have a number of contacts that we’d really like to do some more shoot work with and some ideas about a few rather ‘different’ wedding style pictures that we’d love to capture …”
“Basically watch this space, when Dan and I have some time and are not working on our real life weddings we’ll be doing something else for sure.”
Thanks so much to Abi and Dan for sharing this exquisite collaborative Bridal shoot.
Spains Hall looks a beautiful and versatile setting and an incredible Venue to hold your most important of Events.
I love the varied array of Bridal gowns from the romantic to the playful, and the Groom would cut a dash in any of these suave suits.
From florals, to cake to venue dressing the Venue has been accentuated at its best.
I love the make up looks from natural to striking and hair styling is fabulous.
Each compliments their gowns so beautifully.
It is an honour to be able to share such stunning imagery.
