To kick off the week I am excited to share an inside look at Bridal Design at White Gallery London 2015.
In a few days of incredible beauty top designers from around the world and those home grown converge on the capital to share their gorgeous new collections an stunning Bridal Couture.
Unfortunately I was unable to attend but have been very excited to see such gorgeous bridal designs coming through from the exhibition being held in London’s Battersea.
The striking contemporary structure of Battersea Evolution in Battersea Park has been transformed into an exclusive and elegant showroom, where the top names in bridal design are showcasing their new collections to buyers and press from around the world.
This premium international trade event showcases the bridal collections of some of finest UK and international designers and is attended by the world’s most exclusive retailers and media.
White Gallery London has been exclusively conceived for the very finest international bridal wear designers and aims to be the most prestigious and authoritative event in the bridal buying calendar.
The White Gallery London Fashion Shows are being held on the first two days of the show: 17th & 18th May.
White Gallery’s famed catwalk shows got off to a dramatic start today with the International Preview leading the way, showcasing a handpicked selection of international talent from around the world.
This included Jack Sullivan Bridal, Brides Desire by Wendy Sullivan, Anna Romysh Haute Couture, Anna Kara, Claire Pettibone, Martina Liana, Augusta Jones, Sharon Elle, Victor Harper, Yumi Katsura and Simone Carvalli.
Also taking to the catwalk was acclaimed British bridal designer Ian Stuart who once again wowed the crowds with his eagerly anticipated Fashion Show as he unveiled yet another breathtaking new collection at White Gallery London 2015.
This season, Ian has focused his energy on designing for different body shapes, ages and personalities.
He has created a collection that is diverse and versatile, giving every bride the opportunity to find her own style within the Ian Stuart label.
Experimenting with softer fabrics and fluid silhouettes, Ian is bringing his unique flair and couture construction to a different spirit of bride he has not reached before.
And as the unprecedented King of colour, he has introduced stunning softer shades of silver, pink and taupe, which he hopes will encourage the next generation of brides to embrace wearing colour on their wedding day.
There are four stand out themes this year within the Ian Stuart collection:
Ian Stuart Signature Style- textured, playful and dramatic
Sexy & Statuesque- figure hugging with plunging lines and dynamic silhouettes
Romantic and Regal- fairy tale ball gowns, exquisite laces and glittering touches
Fashionista glamour- modern, unconventional and daring
Feeling his new designs will excite buyers and have brides in a lustful frenzy, Ian promises an inspired fashion show that will have the audience remembering all the reasons why they fell in love with the fantasy of the wedding gown.
Its been a Bridal fashion extravaganza all round today with award winning British designer Alan Hannah unveiling a 2016 collection ‘Watercolours’.
Inspired by the delicacy and beauty of floral print and watercolour artwork, designer Marguerite Hannah has used lots of silk chiffon and soft satins to emulate ‘water’ with its movement, its waves on the ocean and its shimmering colours which are transported and subtly changed by the reflections of the light.
Visitors piled in for the final fashion show of the day at White Gallery London 2015 to see the finest British Talent showcase edited highlights from their latest collections.
Featuring home-grown names such as Naomi Neoh, Eliza Jane Howell, Savin London, Zaeem Jamal and Emma Hunt along with Ivory & Co, Katya Katya Shehurina and Charlotte Balbier, the British Talents preview brought the very best of British bridal design to life in a breathtaking catwalk show.
It is much too hard to pick my favourites as there are just too many stunning designs but if pushed I am IN LOVE once again with the incredible styling of the Eliza Jane Howell gowns.
