Today I am excited to spotlight on The Wedding Union show at Paisley Abbey.
The Show takes place on Saturday the 16th of April from 9.30am – 5pm, and it looks to be a very exciting breakthrough event.
The Abbey is a former Cluniac monastery, and current Church of Scotland Protestant parish kirk, located on the east bank of the White Cart Water in the centre of the town of Paisley, Renfrewshire, about 12 miles west of Glasgow, in Scotland
The Wedding Union devised the event in what they believe to be the opposite way from most Wedding shows.
They started with the customer. Then went a stage further; they looked hard at who that customer was and what they really wanted.
They look to make the show an all encompassing experience looking after the whole Wedding party brides, grooms, same sex couples, friends and families and exhibitors at the Event making it beneficial for all.
Every single person who comes to The Wedding Union will be treated like a VIP.
Guests will be able to enjoy the usual wedding show offerings such as, fashion show, band showcase and wedding cars but they have not stopped there
Unique features include:
•The Paisley Wedding Dress; Talented new designers from local higher education institutions have been asked to design a wedding dress to encapsulate Paisleys past and future.
This will tie in very well with Paisleys bid to be City of Culture 2021.
The top six dresses will be judged by a panel of expert and celebrity judges and by the general public. The results will be announced at the show.
•The Wedding Dresser Live; An expert professional wedding dresser with many years of experience will be live on stage sharing their knowledge and trade secrets.
•Fully integrated social media experience; The public will not just be invited to attend the show; they will be an integrated evolving part of the show.
With live feedback from social media platforms they will be able to interact with the exhibitors and organisers in a fresh and exciting way.
•Luxury afternoon tea; A freshly made luxury afternoon tea will be served in a normally private room called the “Place of Paisley” originally the “Palace of Paisley”.
The afternoon tea is just £15 with a contribution going towards the church funds.
Sit and eat exquisite home made cakes while enjoying one of the best views in the town.
•Fast Cafe; No room or no time for afternoon tea? No problem! The Abbey Cafe will be serving tea coffee and cake all day long, and all profits go to Church funds.
•The Great Wedding Cake Off; Admire the skills of artisan pastry chefs as they decorate wedding cakes live on stage
There will be selection of classical solo and choral music as well as an organ recital playing which can give couples some ideas of their church recessional and processional music. .
The show is TICKET only but FREE entry.
