Today I am delighted to share the beautiful and intimate garden Wedding of Jeremy and Liz in Dundee.
Images of the day were captured by Christina Riley Photography.
Christina Riley is a wedding photographer based in Glasgow, Scotland.
With a background in fashion photography and a love for 35mm, she likes to capture the natural beauty of people and moments.
She is happiest when capturing fleeting moments and making them last forever, from small and special looks to bursts of genuine laughter and joy.
She likes to keep things relaxed, natural and honest. Love isn’t fake and posed, so wedding photography shouldn’t be either!
She just want to see the happiness on everyone’s faces, capture the moments you never want to forget and find the details some people might miss in the excitement of the day.
Christina says of the couple and their intimate Garden Wedding….
“Well, I wasn’t Jeremy and Liz’s first choice for a photographer actually!”
“They had originally asked a friend of mine who they had gone to college with, knowing that she had studied Photography.”
“However, by this time she had branched out into illustration but kindly passed on my details.”
“I was delighted to hear from them and we all met for a cup of tea in Glasgow to chat about what we can do to capture their special day, and that was it!”
“We all got on fantastically and kept in touch regularly, so it felt particularly special to share this amazing day with them.”
“The Wedding was held in Dundee in a friends Garden with an outdoor ceremony and a Marquee for a reception.”
“Knowing that it would be an outdoor wedding, everyone was crossing their fingers that the Scottish weather would be kind to us.”
“Well, our little clouds just couldn’t help themselves and through the grey, albeit very atmospheric, clouds, the rain came down just as Jeremy and Liz brought out the rings!”
“This might have dampened the spirits of some couples or wedding guests, but the well prepared friends and family put up their umbrellas with smiles on their faces (and tears which some might have tried to pass off as rain).”
“Jeremy and Liz, despite a few ‘Oh, of course it rains now!’ giggles, well you’d have just thought the sun was shining right down on them.”
“Close friends and family, a garden full of flowers and some handy marquees to cover both the guests and the food, it was just the perfect afternoon to get married to your best friend, which is exactly what Jeremy and Liz had the pleasure of doing.”
Thank you to Christina for sharing her gorgeous images.
Sometimes its just lovely to share a Wedding that is just simply a celebration of love, and togetherness, and this intimate garden wedding delivers with family, friends and fun being centre stage.
Love the beautiful wedding cake, and all the mismatched teacups giving the day a look of rustic chic.
