Today I am thrilled to share this beautiful Autumnal Bury Wedding with seasonal tones, the cutest little dog and a hint of RocknRoll.
Images were captured by Michelle Louise Photography.
Michelle loves a good wedding and being from the North she tends to bound in to make forever friends with everyone there.
She’s a Manchester based photographer but travels all over the North West and the UK capturing epic parties, funny family moments and your emotional moments you don’t want to forget.
She loves to meet new people and her job means she gets to spend her time with really happy couples and their amazing friends and families.
She likes to get to know her clients and more importantly has a laugh with them so when she shoots on the day it comes with ease and of course lots of fun!
She met the couple when they found her through a Win your Wedding Photography competition on Instagram.
Unfortunately they didn’t win but booked anyway.
Michelle says of the couples Bury Wedding day…
There was lots of emotion especially from Claire’s Mum and Dad , who cried on their first look.
Arnie the couples Pomeranian completely stole the show walking Bridesmaid Helen down the aisle and wanting to sit on Rick’s knee at the signing of the register (he is named after Arnold Schwarzenegger).
It rained right up until the ceremony so confetti was done inside which actually looked amazing and we ventured into the low autumn sun for the couples portraits afterwards.
The whole day was very family orientated with Claire finishing off the evening with a dance with her dad, step father and new father in law.
I hand over to beautiful Bride Claire…
How did you meet?
We met at work, as soon as he walked into the office i had this feeling we were meant to be.
He started flirting with me and i gave him the cold shoulder ( I was playing it cool) but deep down i was like OMG!
Anyway, he asked me on a date to go see Kung Fu Panda and the rest is history.
Tell us about the Proposal…
It’s not the most romantic of engagements, but it’s one to tell the Grandkids.
We got engaged at about 1 am in the morning in a Yates’s bar in our home town of Bury.
I said yes and the shots were well and truly flowing.
The next day we woke up and said at the same time ‘Are we still engaged?’
Tell us about your wedding planning journey…
So after a long 10 years we finally started to plan our wedding
We have a little dog Arnie who we got 5 years ago and wanted him to be part of our big day, as he is our fur baby.
We did some searching on the web and found an absolutely amazing hotel called the Bolholt Country Park Hotel which was also dog friendly, it was perfect.
Any special touches/DIY?
I decorated a shelf ladder and dedicated to the loved ones who were no longer in our lives.
We also made our own table plan using a mirror bought from a discount store and wrote on this using Acrylic pens.
What was the theme /colour palette of your Big Day?
We got married in October so went very seasonal and our colours were Autumnal.
What was the best bit of your day?
Absolutely everything!! The day was just perfect!
What advice would you give to other couples getting married?
As many say remember it is YOUR day! People will still have an amazing time no matter how you choose to do your wedding.
