A beautiful Autumnal Devon wedding at Tree Top Escape with pretty red and orange accents

Today I am thrilled to share this beautiful Autumnal Devon wedding at Tree Top Escape with pretty red and orange accents.

The couple are Hannah and Jack, who alongside their family and friends shared an intimate, meaningful and emotional celebration.

Bride Hannah says of the couples Autumnal Devon Wedding day…

How did you meet?

We met on Tinder while Jack was home in Kent on leave from the Royal Navy in Plymouth. I was studying at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Tell us about the Proposal…

Jack asked to marry him 4 months after our first date, he flew me out to Dubai to see him during his deployment with the navy.

He took me to Atmosphere restaurant at the top of the Burj Khalif and at the end of our meal, our waiter brought a dish with a bed of roses and a ring on top.

Tell us about your wedding planning journey…

We booked our wedding one evening when we came across Tree top escape online. It was very spontaneous because we didn’t really know what we wanted until we saw Tree Tops.

I found wedding planning very simple and stress free. All our suppliers were extremely helpful and organised, we just told them what we wanted and it was sorted!

I brought my dress from WED2B one after noon as I was just browsing. I didn’t expect to find anything but once I saw it and tried it on, I knew it was perfect for me.

Any special touches/DIY?

For the kids we made up an activity pack full of toys and sweets and we had hand made truffles for our wedding favours.

Not specifically for the Wedding but for those celebrating with us ( family and friends) we booked the Highbullen Hotel and put gifts on their beds for when they arrived.

What was the theme /colour palette of your Big Day?

Our theme was autumnal colours, and with that we had lots of red and orange.

I had my bridal shoes made dyed in a bright red by Rainbow Club as my dress was short and I wanted to make my footwear a focal point.

What was the best bit of your day?

The best bit of our day was our photo shoot with Laura.

We were both overwhelmed and don’t enjoy the spotlight, and it was a welcome break to go for a walk with Laura and have our beautiful photos taken.

Is there anything you would do differently?

If we could change anything, we would have had our wedding earlier in the day.

We got married at 2pm and everyone was gone by 11pm. We would have loved for our wedding day to have been longer.

What advice would you give to other couples getting married?

Our advice would be to do what is right for you.

Regardless of anyone else’s opinions, wear something that makes you feel great but be comfortable and don’t stress over the little things, not everything always goes to plan so relax and let it be.
