Grace says of the couples Big Day…
Sophie and Mark’s gorgeous bohemian twilight wedding last September at Newland Hall was definitely one of the highlights of 2018 for me.
I was absolutely full of flu when their day rolled around but I absolutely would not have missed this wedding for the world. I had SO much fun and it was an absolutely gorgeous day!
The day began with Sophie and her girls at her parent’s family home where the girls were getting ready.
I picked up Pat from , our awesome videographer for the day, and we headed to the house.
As we walked in the door, you could feel the energy, everyone was just buzzing with excitement.
Sophie was super chilled out getting ready, and Pat and I were just so looking forward to get documenting all of the details.
From huge blush bouquets, to sparkly Victoria Beckham heels, to handmade ‘Here comes the bride’ signs for her son, this couple had thought of EVERYTHING!
A little while later, Pat and I headed over to Mark, where he was getting ready with his best men.
The first order of the day? A sharp beard and hair style from his brother in-law at Mengo Grooming.
I actually rarely get to do the groom prep, but again, the boys had thought of everything, from a proper decent haircut, to the inclusion of Mark’s grandfather’s pocket watch, and Sophie even surprised him with the most beautiful green watch.
We soon left again, to catch back up with Sophie, where she slipped into her gorgeous gown, and then we headed over to Newland Hall for their twilight ceremony.
The fact that they were getting married outside made me so happy, and what a beautiful day it was tor an outdoor ceremony which was just lovely.
After the ceremony came the sit down meal, which Pat and I spent chatting. It’s so lovely when you really get on with another creative, it made the day absolutely fly by too!
After dinner, Pat and I stole the newlyweds for some couple photos in the warm setting sun. It was one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve seen, and I remember it so clearly.
We returned to some rather hilarious speeches, a cake cut, and of course the dancing commenced. What an absolutely stunning wedding day it was.
