Today I am thrilled to share the beautiful laidback Birmingham Wedding of Polly and Graham with pretty pale pink, red and white details.
Images were captured by Hannah K Photography.
Hannah is a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Warwickshire, England.
She is a redheaded American girl living in the UK and is most passionate about photographing intimate and relaxed weddings for fun and joyful couples who are adventurous at heart.
I hand over to gorgeous Bride Polly to tell us all about the couple, and their Birmingham Wedding…
How did you meet?
We met online, talked for ages before we met but totally clicked when we did, sat on a bench in a park eating an ice cream.
Tell us about the proposal…
We got engaged in the Shakespeare room in Birmingham library, down on one knee. He was quite the old romantic!
Tell us about your wedding planning journey…
As soon as we got engaged I started planning, we both knew we didn’t want a long engagement. We’re both very relaxed, wanted no big fuss type wedding,
I’ve always known I wasn’t going to have a cookie cutter wedding with all the frills, it’s just not my style. I’m also a firm believer in making a cocktail opportunity out of anything so Caroline my florist and I had our inspiration meetings over drinks!
We wanted to keep it simple and elegant with some quite obvious Polly and G moments so the ceremony music was totally us, ska and 70s two tone, I’m in the Mood for Love by Lord Tanamo kept our guests bopping on their seats!
It was important to us always to use small local suppliers, so we used our favourite people that we had a relationship with already, like Lucy at Lils Parlour.
What was the theme /colour palette of your big day?
Pale pink, red and white. No theme, just things that reflected us.
What was the best bit of your day?
The constant whirl of talking to everyone at the reception, for us our family and friends are our world so sharing a drink and some cake with everyone was spot on
What advice would you give to other couples getting married?
Keep with what YOU want, don’t let family or friends sway you, it’s not their big day, it’s yours!
Thank you so much to Hannah for sharing this stunning Birmingham Wedding.
I love wee weddings where details while still important are secondary, and family and friend togetherness and just having a lovely time are the main focus of the day.
