A beautiful Mexican destination Wedding in Tulum with pretty beachy bohemian details.

Today I am thrilled to share a beautiful Mexican destination Wedding in Tulum with pretty beachy bohemian details.

Images were captured by Moni & Adri Photo and Video.

Moni of Moni & Adri Photo and Video is a Fine Art Destination Wedding Photographer, based in Cancun Mexico.

She documents celebrations of love, and her craft is to evoke a sense of emotion and effortless beauty by detailing a personal connection with all of her amazing and inspiring couples.

Her style of photography is timeless, elegant, romantic, airy and ethereal.

The couple Kelsey and Brittany met in Scottsdale, Arizona through the online app HER.

Upon matching, they quickly found shared interests and conversation was very easy.

Within a few days, they met for drinks at a new local bar.

They knew they were right for each other, hitting it off very quickly with easy conversation and laughter as they enjoyed drinks that night.

They have been inseparable ever since.

Kelsey proposed in Tuscany, Italy after spending months planning,  getting up at 4am that morning to Skype the photographers she had scheduled to help capture the proposal.

They planned all the details from location (hillside in Tuscany overlooking the rolling hills) to transportation from the hotel to a historic winery to celebrate after.

Brittany had no idea as it unfolded when they were checking out the scenic spot.

Kelsey asked to take a photo of her overlooking the view and when Brittany turned around Kelsey was down on one knee with a ring in hand.

Instantly she was filled with emotion and excited to say “YES”.

The moment was captured and they had a photo session after with a champagne toast in the vineyards.

The couple knew they wanted a destination wedding from the start and picked Tulum, Mexico after seeing gorgeous photos and people visiting but were adamant about obtaining a wedding planner to help with the whole planning process so they reached out to Michelle at My Perfect Wedding.

She and colleague Maria helped the couple scope out everything from venue to flowers and were wonderful from the beginning to the end.

Brittany and Kelsey visited Tulum where they got a great feeling from their vendors and left super excited, not yet realizing the effects of the COVID pandemic until weeks later.

It was an emotional ride, postponing their wedding, unsure if they could truly make it happen, and without their wedding planners, the process would have been a daunting task.

Being out of the country, they had to plan everything via email and through the planners who had all the insight to contacts and small details.

Planning a wedding internationally comes with additional challenges with cultural and language barriers which in their case was definitely bridged by their wedding planners.

On their wedding day the couple were very excited, and had a blissful morning enjoying breakfast together before they parted ways.

It was a very hustle bustle time thereafter but they had such a great time getting hair and makeup done with their bridesmaids, brides men and mom’s having tons of laughs and  making great memories.

They were on a tight time crunch but time seemed to stand still when they did their first look.

Walking down the aisle also seemed surreal to them as they had a hard time envisioning that this day would happen with the pandemic.

The style of the day was a very bohemian, beach casual vibe with optional shoe attire for the wedding reception!

Greenery was used wherever it could be, alongside personal place settings that were made locally, and shot glasses with the couples name and date on them were made as wedding gifts to everyone. .

The furniture truck almost did not make it to the venue in time, leaving no chairs for the ceremony as the Tulum police would not let them through onto the tiny Tulum street.

The music of the day was selected by the bridal party which helped keep the wedding night going with great tunes!

The Brides chose “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” by Jordan Fisher & Olivia Holt, and this was special as neither dad could be present so their brothers kindly subbed in to fulfil this role.

In the end it became a truly special day, and all they imagined that they got to share with family and friends who could make it..
