Today I am thrilled to share a beautiful Naval Wedding in Devon.
Ivana and Owain were married at Dartmouth Naval College which was really special to them due to their naval background.
Images were captured by Will Reddaway Photography.
Will Reddaway is a Wedding Photographer based in Devon.
He says of himself and his work…
“I love my beautiful wife Heidi, the sea, music, waves and taking great images.”
“I’m massively into my music, with a growing collection of guitars and the same could be said about my surfboard collection too.”
“I have a passion for people and I think that comes across in my work.”
“I love photographing people out in pumping surf, on their wedding day or in beautiful locations.”
“I offer informal, contemporary and documentary styled wedding photography in Devon and the South West of England.”
“I look to personalise each wedding, drawing together the different elements that you’ve chosen, to create a visual narrative that tells your story.”
“My style is to capture the essence of your day, with each moment adding to the montage of images that creates a final sculpture that has truly been shaped by you.”
Will says of the couple and their day…
“It’s such an amazing opportunity to photograph a wedding at Dartmouth Naval college and with both Ivana & Owain being in the Navy it was even more special for the both of them.”
“Other than the uniforms there were many details and parts of the day that brought the sea and their Naval background into their wedding.”
“Ivana started her day with just a small group at Little Combe Cottage in Dittisham, Devon, it’s such a lovely, peaceful and beautiful location to start your wedding day.”
“Ivana and her bridesmaids had a really relaxing time of preparations with some last minute floral headpieces being made before they got ready.”
“This made for a special time and some gorgeous photographs that really reflect the fun relaxed atmosphere.”
“After the bridal preparations we made our way to Dartmouth Naval College. ”
“It is always an experience photographing at the Naval College, there aren’t any other Devon venues I have photographed weddings in that you get stopped at the gate by someone in uniform and asked to prove your identity.”
“But once in you find the most amazing Chapel for a wedding ceremony.”
“Ivana & Owain’s ceremony was really special with them having written their own nautical themed vows.”
“Once we had finished at the Naval College Ivana, Owain and I took some time away from the guests to get some beautiful wedding portraits up by Dartmouth Castle.”
“Having some time away from the guests is not just about taking some photos, it’s also about letting the couple have a few moments to themselves after they have just got married.”
“Ivana & Owain’s special day would not have been the same without some time spent on the water so after we had finished with our photos they hopped on board The Picnic Boat to have a bite to eat and sail up the estuary.”
“Their cruise on the estuary finished with them mooring up at The Royal Dart Yacht Club greeted by their guests.”
Thank you so much to Will for sharing this lovely Naval Wedding with us today.
Love the beautiful lace boots to compliment Ivanas pretty dress, and the gorgeous contrasting blues of the bridesmaids
Love also the gorgeous portraits taken by the sea, a place with so much significance in the couples lives.
