A beautiful Somerset Wedding with DIY aspects & family fun

Today I am thrilled to share a beautiful Somerset Wedding  with family fun and DIY aspects.

Images of the day were captured by Lee Meek Photography.

Lee Meek, is a documentary wedding photographer living in Reading, Berkshire with his  fiance Laura.

Having popped the question recently too  he is also planning a wedding and know how daunting  it can be stressful at times, but choosing a photographer shouldn’t be.

He says of his work…

“I began to develop my interest in wedding photography over many years after attending close friends weddings and receiving praise for my coverage as a non-official photographer.”

“I absolutely love weddings, the unpredictability the characters the expressions, no two weddings are the same, which is what I love the most. For me wedding photography should have a natural undirected flow.”

“I prefer to blend in and capture expressions and emotions whilst not being the center of attention.”
“I get my best work when my subjects are oblivious to my presence, I am a story teller not a director.”

“Chris and Louise were married on the 17th June 2014 at the beautiful Holbrook house in Somerset with 100 guests in attendance.”

“It was a super sunny nice day with family at the heart of it and many DIY aspects.”

“The table decoration , Cake and favours were  made by the bride which included chilli jam for the men and homemade chocolate for the ladies.”

“Their flower girl played the Piano to the bride and groom which was a nice moment, and the fun factor was brought to the day through activities which included, Giant Jenga, Tennis and Croquet.”

Thank you so much to Lee for sharing this lovely Somerset Wedding.

Love the wee chilli jam favours and this DIY aspect is a great way to both put your own stamp on the day whilst also being an economical choice.
