Today I am thrilled to share this beautiful Springtime Devon elopement at Millbrook Estate with navy accents and vibrant yellow florals.
The couple are Francinne and Chris, who with their little boy Charlie shared an intimate, meaningful and emotional celebration.

Bride Francinne says of the couples day…
How did you meet?
We had been friends for many years and I had always had a bit of a crush on Chris.
In 2016 we started spending a lot of time together and realised that actually there was something more than a friendship there.
We got along so well and spending time together just came so easily and was fun and it grew from there really, I think we spent almost every day together since.
Our relationship blossomed very quickly and our son was born in 2017 which was a very unexpected but pleasant surprise life as a family just came very naturally.
Tell us about the Proposal...
There wasn’t actually a proposal, but we had discussed on odd occasions that we wanted to have a quiet wedding when we did have one.
When we came across Millbrook it just suited us down to the ground, and we made our decision to hold our day there.
Chris however has promised me that one day there will be a proposal as I’ve said I’ve always wanted one.
We like to do things differently in our relationship… the way that we want to not the way that the world says we should!
Tell us about your Wedding Planning…
Our Devon elopement was always just going to be about us.
We had told our parents but actually no one else knew about it.
It just fell very conveniently that it was just us as otherwise it wouldn’t of happened in the current situation of the world.
Our day was perfect in every way in that we had a lovely weekend away a lovely day pleasing no one else but ourselves, just doing what we wanted and enjoying every moment of our special day together.
We wrote our own vows for the wedding and it was very personal.
We also chose songs that were personal to us and didn’t have to worry about if we thought if they were wedding appropriate or what people would think as there was no one there to judge the situation.
What was the best bit of your Wedding Day?
After the ceremony we went to a local beach and had our first dance in the Sunset which was something we always wanted to do our photographer wasn’t there at this point.)
This was defiantly the highlight of our day as it was some time to reflect on the things we had just experienced and take it all in!
Share your advice to other couples…
Our advice would be do what you want to do!
Don’t spend all your time and money trying to please everyone else, its not about them!
Its all about taking time on the day and taking in every magical moment making special memories for a lifetime, not worrying about pleasing people or stressing about how good of a time they are having.
