A beautiful train themed wedding at the Osceola St. Croix Valley Railway in Minnesota with pretty orange details

Today I am thrilled to share a beautiful train themed wedding at the Osceola St. Croix Valley Railway in Minnesota with pretty orange details.

Images were captured by Life and Art Photography.

Laura of Life and Adventure Photography is a wedding and family photographer, virtual storyteller, and adventure-seeker based in Minnesota.

Her photography style is classic, romantic, and authentic. (And she’ll do just about anything to make you laugh!) Most of all, her job is to tell the story of your wedding.

She shoots a combination of posed, classic photos as well as light-hearted, candid moments that capture who you are.

Her goal is to create memories you can hold on to for the rest of your life.

She says of the couple and their train themed wedding…

Mandy and Kirk met on a blind date over a mutual love of cats and Mexican food.

They were set up, and didn’t expect anything to come of it but fate had other plans, and their love story progressed from there.

The Proposal was on a rainy Monday evening.

Mindy was just getting home from shopping and it was pouring and she texted Kirk to open the door for her.

He replied he had his hands full.

Mandy fumbled with the lock and key, but once she got in she noticed the lights were dimmed, and their was a lovely table set up fr dinner.

As she came into the room she noticed balloons in her favourite colour, but her biggest surprise was yet to come.

As she stood there soaking wet Kirk came into view in a  T-Rex costume.

Somehow he managed to get down on one knee and asked Mandy to marry him.

For their wedding, they started the process knowing one thing for sure – they wanted pizza for dinner!

And once they found a venue that offered that they were set.

Unfortunately, as luck would have it that venue was destroyed by a tornado a year before their wedding.

But these two took the challenge on, and decided to add their love of the railways to their wedding doing a lot of the decor themselves, and bringing together lots of train themed wedding details (and kept the pizza, of course!).

Planning a wedding with literal moving pieces wasn’t easy, but the day came together perfectly!

It started at the Osceola train station for photos and mingling, took guests aboard the train and brought them to a beautiful train side ceremony in St. Croix, and then brought the newlyweds and all their guests back to the station for an outdoor celebration.
