Today I am excited to kick off the week with a bold, beautiful colourful wedding at Colzium House.

Christine McNally is an alternative wedding photographer based in the Midlands, but covers weddings all over the UK.

She is South African and moved to the UK about 6 years ago, originally living in Glasgow before a move down south.

She loves fashion, vintage style, bold colours, cats, puppies and good food, and peanut butter.

She can best be described as chatty, honest and a bit obsessed with making beautiful photographs.

 

She says of the couple and their day…

 

“Kirsty & Martin were a super couple and married on the 16th August 2014 at Colzium House.

Colzium House is one of the jewels in North Lanarkshire’s crown. Originally built in 1783, with additions made in 1861, it’s a distinct architectural mix of Scottish Vernacular and the more modern Renaissance styles.

Mackay Lennox bought Colzium House in 1930.

When he retired from his role as Town Clerk he presented the House and Policies to Kilsyth Burgh, now part of North Lanarkshire, in memory of his mother.

The House has been reconditioned and now offers a suite of rooms suitable for functions of all kinds and a small museum of local history.

The couple love travel and this was evident in their table names, and they also love lots of bright, bold and beautiful colours which they used to the max!

One of my favourite things from the wedding, is Kirsty’s beautiful lace wedding dress, and the gorgeous colourful wildflowers.

Kirsty and Martin put so much love and attention into their special day… definitely one of my summer favourites.
