A breathtaking Italian Destination Wedding in on Lake Como with accents of white and champagne

Today I am excited to share this breathtaking Italian Destination Wedding on Lake Como with accents of white and champagne.

The couple are Xana and Robbie who celebrated their nuptials with family and friends against the gorgeous backdrop of Italys most beautiful regions.

Images were captured by Miki Studios.

MIKI Studios are Mick and Ash, a multiple award-winning, creative photography and videography team.

Taking a boutique approach to weddings in London and beyond, they travel extensively throughout the U.K. and internationally to capture photos and films that sweep couples off their feet.

When you commission them to work as a team, Ash is your wedding photographer and Mick shoots and designs your wedding film.

Working seamlessly together they support each other’s art to deliver lush and compelling documentaries capturing each important moment and never getting in each other’s way.

Gorgeous Bride Xana says of the couples wonderful Italian Destination wedding day…

Tell us how you met and about your Engagement…

We met in October 2012 in Chester.

We got engaged just over 4 years later on Christmas day 2016 (My favourite time of year)

From our engagement until our Wedding Day was 20 months in total.

Tell us about your Wedding Planning Experience…

We chose Villa Regina Teodolinda at Lake Como as the setting of our Wedding Day.

Robbie and I were lucky enough to attend 2 of our close friends’ weddings in Sorrento and Tuscany and fell in love with Italy.

We visited Lake Como as soon as we got engaged and fell in love with the first venue we saw.

To us, it was perfect and like no other place we had ever been to.

To help us bring our vision together we used Wiskow and White wedding planners.

Did you have a  theme for your Wedding Day?

We didn’t opt for a theme. We tried to keep it really simple based on the location and the magnificent view of the lake. We wanted this to be the focus.

We chose white and champagne for the colours for the simplicity and how classic it looks.

We wanted to keep everything neutral based on how decorative the venue was with  natural greenery and simple lighting

What  was your favourite part of the day?

So many things, everything really!

From getting ready with my bridesmaids, mum and step mother in law to be.

Seeing my dad for the first time, and walking down the aisle, and then seeing Robbie for the first time

Actually getting married and saying our vows was a highlight.

Then all those special moments like the Confetti, the prosecco tower, the speeches, our first dance and cutting the cake.

What advice would you give to other couples getting Married?

Everyone said it to me and I took it for granted, I thought it was really obvious so really didn’t pay much attention… so my only advice would be to enjoy every second!

Your guests are having the best time and do not wish for anything but for your happiness. Do not worry about any detail as everything will be taken care of, and anything that isn’t, can’t have been important enough.

Take a moment to let it all sink in, you will have been planning this for months and waiting for this day so just cherish being a bride and the day where all your friends and family are all in one place.

It’s the most magical day!
