A captivating intimate Quebec Wedding at Bois-de-Coulonge

Today I am thrilled to share a captivating intimate Quebec Wedding in the beautiful surroundings of Bois-de-Coulonge and Manoir Montmorency.

Stunning emotive images were captured by Dyade Photo.

Dyade Photo is Josee and Patrick, a couple in life as well as in photography.

They are based in Quebec, Canada but love to travel.

They describe themselves as storytellers capturing in-between moments and small intimate gestures that speak of the heart.

Josee says of the couple and their intimate Quebec Wedding day…

The couple Carole and Michal had each been in long term relationships, and raised children before they met and fell in love.

Their connection was instant, and knew they were supposed to be together for the rest of their lives.

For her Bridal gown Carole wanted an original vintage style gown so worked with a seamstress finding the perfect fabric and adapting a pattern to her own unique style, to bring her vision to life.

She looked spectacular alongside her Groom in a sharp dark suit and hat.

Patrick and I are really lucky as wedding photographers, as we often experience intense emotionally charged moments with our couples.

If there is one moment that will remain engraved in our hearts and memory forever, it is the one where Michel and Carole exchanged their vows at Bois-de-Coulonge in Quebec after their first look.

We had suggested the location as we knew it was quiet unaware of the significance to the couple. It was a place that they would often go for walks which added an extra layer of meaningfulness to the day.

They took advantage of these quiet moments, in their own bubble of happiness suspended in time, to share their love with each other in complete privacy before making other vows in front of their family and friends.

We didn’t hear anything they said to each other, but their love was palpable… And that’s one of the most beautiful gifts we’ve had the honour to photograph.

Later, they told us that we had been so unobtrusive that they didn’t even feel our presence, just themselves just as two people in love.

Following this intimate exchange they continued to Manoir Montmorency for their official ceremony and reception.

In the evening each of the coupes four children gave speeches, telling lovely stories of their childhood and how the couple had succeeded in bringing them together to be new blended family.
