Today I am thrilled to share this Christmas themed Oxfordshire Wedding at Weston Manor with royal blue and festive accents.

Images were captured by Kirsten Platt Photography.

Kirsten Platt is a Lancashire based photographer living in Clitheroe with a creative background in textiles and Graphic design.

She loves to capture laughter emotions and all the details as your special day unfolds.

She feels It’s the little moments in between the big moments that cement your wedding day story together.

I hand over to beautiful Bride Lisa to share the couples love story…

How did you meet?

We met through work – working together for years before we finally fell in love

Tell us about the Engagement…

John proposed to me at the Savoy in London – his proposal wasn’t conventional though (but then he isn’t).

We had an offer from Boodles jewellers to attend a champagne evening and he said “Why don’t we go, you can have a look at rings then if you like.”

I had to ask for a budget before we went in though I mean come on you can’t expect a girl not to go mad in a jewellers can you !

Tell us about your wedding planning journey…

Like any planning in my life it was done with multiple, detailed lists and spreadsheets !

What was the theme /colour palette of your Big Day?

Our Oxfordshire wedding day was Christmas themed.

I wore an ivory dress and had roses, the bridesmaids were in royal blue with the men in Black Watch kilts and Scottish blue thistles.

What was the best bit of your day?

Marrying John ! seeing his face as I came down the aisle and knowing we were going to be together for ever – just wonderful.

What advice would you give to other couples getting married?

Make sure you do the wedding your way – don’t get dragged into worrying about other peoples views and wants.

Its your day, make it yours. our day was designed to enable all our guests to relax and enjoy the celebration of our wedding.

It was meant to be more of a party than a traditional day and it certainly ended up like that – just be yourselves and enjoy every minute of it, it goes too fast!
