A classic and elegant Lancashire Wedding with a crisp cream palette

Today I am thrilled to share this classic and elegant Lancashire Wedding with a crisp cream palette.

The couple are Emily and Kevin and they chose the 18th century Manor House West Tower as the setting for their beautiful celebration with family and friends…

Images were captured by Jess Yarwood Photography.

Jess says of the couples day…

West Tower is a beautiful romantic hideaway set amidst rolling Lancashire countryside, and is dedicated entirely to weddings .

Built as a family home in 1885, it combines a romantic blend of elegance and heritage with contemporary style and a neutral colour palette in its characterful spaces to offer a sophisticated, rural sanctuary for your wedding day.

On the Wedding morning I met Emily, her mum and her girls getting ready in the Bridal Suite at West Tower.

There was both an air of excitement but general calm and when they were ready we headed to the Ceremony.

Meanwhile Kevin and his Groomsmen were greeting all the guests at Our Lady’s Church Lydiate as they awaited arrival of the Bride.

Soon she arrived and after a beautiful ceremony we headed back to West Tower for drinks and canapes and be entertained by an amazing acoustic singer.

There was a few formal photographs before we headed out for some alone time for the couple to have a few moments and to capture some couples portraits.

Following this there was the wedding breakfast and some hilarious speeches by Kevin, the Brides Dad and the two best men..

Bride Emily shares her Wedding Planning with us…

How did you meet ?

We met in Ibiza whilst working over there for the summer in 2010.

Tell us about the Engagement…

Kev proposed 5 years later in Ibiza in the same spot that we first met. Ibiza is a special place to us.

Why did you choose your Venue ?

I live close to the venue and have always heard such fantastic reviews.

It is undeniably beautiful and was a stunning setting and was the perfect country, traditional wedding venue for our Big Day.

Did you have a theme or colour palette in mind for your day?

I knew from the beginning that I wanted a classic, elegant theme.

My colour scheme was cream and we had flower arrangements and blossom trees on the tables and around the house. I love the clean, crisp look of a neutral wedding.

The Wedding Outfits

My dress was by Madeline Gardener and was a fitted fishtail ivory wedding gown.

The body was fitted lace and the skirt was full tulle.

I originally pictured myself in a much plainer dress however when I tried my dress on I knew it was the one, I felt like a bride and felt it suited my theme perfectly.

I also had a long cathedral veil but chose to wear no accessories in my hair.

The only jewellery I wore were a pair of drop earrings that I got from a website called Liberty in Love.

Kev chose his and the groomsmen’s suits from Greenwoods, which were grey three piece suits with waistcoats were silver.

My bridesmaid’s dresses from Jarlo London were very pale pink with a low button back and they looked a little like Pippa Middleton’s.

Who designed your stationery?

Our Wedding stationery was created by The Paper Doll in classic cream and champagne to compliment our theme.

Tell us about your Cake…

Our cake was a four tier beautiful ivory iced cake covered in iced flowers created by The Delicious Cake Boutique.

Each layer was a different flavor we opted for vanilla sponge, white chocolate, lemon and chocolate.

Who was your florist?

Our flowers were arranged by Flower Style by Laurie. They frequently dress the venue and do it so beautifully.

They created some stunning bouquets and table arrangements in classic cream tones.

Did you have any favours?  Was there any particular reason why you picked them?

Our favours were donations made on behalf of our guests to St Josephs Hospice in Thornton and Cancer Research UK.

They were in memory of family members who has recently passed.

Who was your photographer and how did you choose them?

Kev and I were adamant that we didn’t want too many staged, posed photographs.

We loved Jess Yarwoods natural style and quirky photographs and that really appealed to us.

What advice do you have for brides planning their big day?

Try not to stress about the little things.

On the day nothing matters and you will have your dream day regardless of any hiccups along the way.

Enjoy every minute it goes so fast.
