They say of their work and the couple…
Each wedding is a day of celebration of love between two people.
Our passion as photographers and videographers is to capture every detail, every emotion and every moment in a timeless preservation of your big day that you will be able to treasure forever.
At dgtl Couture we have a simple, unaffected approach to photography, producing photos for their veracity and naturality.
However whether you want spontaneous and artistic images or more traditional styles our large and skilled team will capture your wedding day exactly the way you envisaged it to be the day you said yes.
We love to get to know each and every couple we work with, because it allows us to understand you both and understand your story and how you would like us to capture it.
On your big day we will strive to stay as low key as possible so you can enjoy your big day and know we’ve got it covered.
As well as wedding day photography we also provide intimate pre wedding photos set across locations of your choosing but typically places that mean something special to you both as a couple.
Our Team is comprised of three professional and committed wedding photographers and three very talented videographers. This allows us to cater and create bespoke quotes to your specific needs on the day…
Our Bride Ghazaleh found us on the hitched listing website and we met with her at the two venues in Spring to discuss the plan of her big day.
On the morning of the 25th August 2017 our team arrived at Ghazaleh’s sisters home in South London on a very bright & sunny day. While our videographer,
Sam Wordsworth, captured some of the finer details of the wedding dress, our lead photographer, Martin Sylvester, captured beautiful photos of the brides’ family outside near to the embankment of a quiet stream.
After this the team finished taking the rest of the bridal preparations and then Sam headed off for the church to set up the equipment before guest arrivals, while Martin stayed with the bridal party to accompany them on the way up to Peckham.
Once at the church, the team went about capturing the couples’ lovely ceremony in an artistic documentary style, being careful to operate in the background so our couple could be captured in the most natural way possible.
Following the ceremony, Martin captured some more images of the family and in particular the grooms’ family looking regal in their traditional Nigerian clothing.
As a surprise to the bride, Lawrence, arranged for a beautiful vintage ivory Beauford wedding car to drop them to the reception venue, Radisson Blu Edwardian New Providence Wharf.
While Sam head off to the reception venue to finish setting up the equipment at the second location, Martin got permission from the driver to tag along with the couple in the vintage car. This allowed him to get great images of the couple as they weaved through the London traffic.
When the team arrived at the second location with the couple it was finally time for the couple photo shoot.
Along the path of the River Thames, the O2 arena made for a stunning backdrop, and it was a pleasure for our team to capture the couple’s love.
Following this the team made their way to the reception and proceeded to capture the guests in a documentary style and capturing all the decor of the beautiful setting.
I hand over to gorgeous Bride Ghazaleh…
How did you meet?
Lawrence and I met at Durham University in 2006.
He was in his final year and a senior in our halls of residence whilst I was in my first year.
Growing up in Cyprus I was always called Kazi, so when Lawrence and i first met and exchanged numbers, I said my name and he asked what it meant.
I said ‘oh it’s just a nickname I have had from home’ but Lawrence saved my number under the name ‘Cute One Kazi’ and until this day it remains that way.
There was a fun and flirtatious spark between us from the start and I fell head over heels with him.
Tell us about the Engagement…
Lawrence had spoken to all my family members in Cyprus whilst we were on holiday the only one that did not know was me.. Everyone was VERY excited!!
Lawrence proposed to me on the morning of my 29th birthday…
Tell us about your wedding planning journey…
Planning the big day was a challenge due to the differences in our cultures; Greek/Cypriot, Iranian …
As with any wedding families like to have their own input but we really tried hard to keep the day to our liking and vision.. after all this would be a day that we would remember for the rest of our lives…
What was the theme /colour palette of your Big Day?
The theme of the day was modern, warm colours with a rusty vintage touch…. Worked out well.
What was the best bit of your day?
The best bit of the day was seeing all our loved ones in one room.. the joy and happiness on their faces was unforgettable..
it was truly a day to remember nothing else mattered in that moment but us and our loved ones
What advice would you give to other couples getting married?
Be patient with each other and never let the other feel like they are alone…
Love each other through good times and bad…
Never go to bed or leave each other without a hug or a kiss.
