They say of the couples day…

Karley & Chad are true best friends, their friendship has carried their love and we loved being able to witness this love & friendship on their wedding day.

Their wedding day was nothing short than pure glamour with a modern twist on vintage art… the white orchids and touches of gold gave the overall decor a classic and elegant beauty.

The couple incorporated a string quartet during the ceremony making it all feel majestic. Their guests danced the night away with the sounds of The New Royals, the band played hit after hit!

Karley & Chad made sure to enjoy each moment of their wedding day with their close friends and families, with lots of hugs, laughter and dancing.

I hand over to beautiful Bride Karley to tell us about her glamorous Sarasota Wedding…

How did you meet?

We actually we to the same middle school an high school but we not friends until we rekindled post college.

From the moment we started dating we both knew this was it , it was just a matter of our relationship evolving over time.

Tell us about the Proposal…

Chad proposed on his birthday 3 years into our relationship, and I was completely surprised in the moment.

It was on a rooftop in Chicago, just the two of us ( & photographer) and it was truly incredible and stunning.

Let’s talk fashion.

For me , I wanted something that was very me so I chose a gown from Pronovias. I was going for glamorous, chic, and clean with a wow factor, and for that there was a stand out detail which was my bow.

The bow was a custom addition between the designer and my seamstress. There were actually a lot of logistics that went into that because it was so large and so heavy.. and the tails needed their own bustle!

The Ringling is a very grand venue so it was also important for me to have a long train.

For Chad – His tux was made by Enzo Custom and they did a great job , we always love their work.

We wanted a jacket that was textured and patterned but still a classic formal style.

What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or colour palette?

Our theme was modern glam, and it evolved into this fairytale.

I always wanted white florals with bold greens to fill the space. Everything was very clean and chic.

The gold in the chairs, flatware and linens really added an additional element that really popped.

Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception?

The Ringling is such a grand space that it speaks for its self in a lot of ways. We wanted the decor to complement the space.

One of the things that I loved were the chairs we picked. The white leather and gold rimed chairs really were stunning for both the ceremony and reception.

The Ringling makes a perfect flow from ceremony to cocktail to reception. Food was incredibly important to us and that started with cocktail hour.

The seafood display really was excellent, and it was so pretty. Of course the galleries were stunning and our guests really loved that art.

What were the florals like in your wedding?

Most of our flowers were white orchards, white garden roses and white hydrangeas. The greens that we had were larger, tall leaves to create volume and height.

There were also a lot of candelabra , and fluted votives to bring in the romance element.

Did you personalise the day in any way?

Some of our personal details were the chandlers hanging from the trees, our chocolate truffle place cards and the pink velvet bars.

What were some of your favourite parts of your wedding?

Our band had everyone dancing all night , they were fabulous! I also loved our private last dance!

What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

Walking down the aisle : since we did not do a first look , this was the moment we both had been waiting for!

Our vows were hand written and that was something that we wanted from the start.

Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?

I was given this piece of advice right before my wedding and it would be my number one thing I would tell other brides.

Your wedding goes by extremely fast, you need to make a conscious effort to not split from your new husband!

It is very easy to get pulled in different directions and then realize you never saw each other the whole night.

Remember this day is about the two of you, so spend the time ( post ceremony ) together.

Also do not rush through your photos, trust me its worth it!
