Today I am thrilled to share this gorgeous autumnal Perthshire Wedding at Crieff Hydro with soft purple, sage green, and gold details.
Images were captured by Beverley at Ellis Gibson Photography.
Beverley is a full time photographer, based in Auchterarder, Perthshire working all across the UK.
Her style of photography is natural and timeless and she loves to capture the in-the-moment moments – the real smiles, real expressions and real emotions, the ones you couldn’t pose even if you tried.
Bride Katie says of the couples love story, and their autumnal Perthshire Wedding…
How did you meet?
We met through friends at a Fife Flyers ice hockey match.
Tell us about the Proposal…
While on a family holiday in Spain, after placing our order at a restaurant, in front of my parents, sister and brother-in-law, Paul began with a speech, and the ring was passed beneath the table from Katie’s Dad to Paul.
Paul got down on one knee in the middle of the busy restaurant and popped the question to my utter surprise and shock.
I needed prompting by Paul to say Yes!!
Tell us about your wedding planning journey…
From being a previous Wedding Planner at The Balmoral, Edinburgh I knew what to expect, however it was a bit different when it’s your own wedding you’re planning!
I used some familiar wedding suppliers I had worked with before, and trusted including The Balmoral’s Toastmaster Bob.
Any special touches/DIY?
We did all the wedding stationery ourselves, from the save the dates and invitations to the place cards, table plan and individual menus for every guest.
What was the theme /colour palette of your Big Day?
Our colour palette was soft purple, lavender, minty sage green, and gold.
What was the best bit of your day?
It’s really difficult to choose just one part of our day. It was all amazing from getting ready in the morning to dancing on chairs to the Proclaimers 500 miles at night!
We had a humanist ceremony which was really personal to us and we think the moment we said our vows will stay with us forever.
Is there anything you would do differently?
Not get stressed about the small things!
What advice would you give to other couples getting married?
Make sure to enjoy the lead up and every second of the day itself as it goes so quickly but you’re left with so many amazing memories.
Ensure you spend at least 5 minutes with your new husband / wife, just the two of you, as you will get swept up with your guests, photographs, dancing and mingling all day long.
