Today I am thrilled to share this gorgeous Destination Wedding in Ibiza with a beautiful Watters Gown.
The couple are Stevie and James and they were married at the stunning Elixir Shore Club.
Images were captured by James Tracey Photography.
James is a professional Manchester wedding photographer covering weddings all over the north west of England, throughout the U.K. and internationally.
Quietly working in the background to capture the real emotion and fun of your wedding, he takes natural and relaxed photos as your wedding day happens, without any awkward, or staged wedding photography.
I hand over to the lovely Bride…
How did you meet?
“We met in Ibiza 6 years ago.”
“This was in a club called Underground while we were both on holiday with friends.”
“I was from Alnwick and James from Leeds, but we met up a few times when we got back to the UK and it just went from there.”
Tell us about the Engagement?
“We got engaged in Florence June 2014.”
“It was a long weekend away and James took me up to the Piazzale Michelangelo on the first evening where you can see amazing panoramic views of the city and he proposed.”
“I had no idea he’d been planning this. Italy is our favourite country to visit in Europe so it was perfect, an amazing surprise and we spent the rest of our trip celebrating.”
Tell us about your wedding planning journey?
“We didn’t really start planning until after a year of being engaged as we wanted to enjoy this first without any stress of the planning.”
“Ibiza seemed liked the perfect place for us to marry since we met there and have always loved the island.”
“We’ve been back almost every year since we met both on our own and with friends so have made many great memories there.”
“My best friend also lives on the island so she played a big part in helping us plan the wedding and finding the venue, Elixir Shore Club and also other suppliers etc.”
“As we didn’t have a wedding planner this was a big help for us having someone we knew over there.”
“We had a couple of trips over to Ibiza while planning which we made in to long weekends.”
“One of these was when we got to see the venue for the first time and try the food we’d like on the day. This was one of our favourite parts of planning the wedding.”
What was the best bit of your day?
“Having everyone we loved in the same place to celebrate our day.”
“We had nearly 80 friends and family fly out with some family coming from Dubai and America and this meant so much to us.”
“This was one of the most important things for us, for everyone to share the day with and we could not have wished for a more special setting on the island than at at Elixir with the sunset overlooking Es Vedra.”
What advice would you give to other couples getting married?
“Not to worry about those last minute details the last few days before the wedding as at the end of the day it will only be you that notices this.”
“Relax on the run up before the day so you can just enjoy it.”
Thank you so much to James for sharing this lovely destination wedding in Ibiza.
The pretty mint green and cream colour palette is so delicate, but compliments this Big Day so well with a simple rustic charm.
I love also how the air of pure relaxation is reflected perfectly in the informality of the flow of the day.
