He says of the couples Shropshire Wedding day…

Amie & Harry were recommended by a friend who had wanted us for her wedding but we were booked.

As soon as we met them we could not wait to shoot the wedding!

You could not find a nicer couple, they are so sweet and welcoming.

Their whole Italian inspired day was fantastic to be a part of, especially because we got to meet their lovely dog too!

I hand over to beautiful Bride Amie…

How did you meet?

We officially met at my uncles 50th party on Valentines night..

Harry was behind the bar & I was helping him collect the glasses!

We didn’t spend a weekend apart since that day.

He would travel to Chester to visit me at uni, Harry is a course manager & lives on Wrekin golf course.. I moved in the year after we met.

Tell us about the Proposal…

We LOVE Italy.. so we planned a 3 week tour of Italy, and hired a fiat 500 (so Italian!) and drove around lots of different parts.

We stayed in a remote farm house in Tuscany in the Chianti hills… and we were due to go wine tasting at 6pm but at 5:45pm Harry got down on one knee in the Tuscan vines and popped the question… I was sitting on a plant pot!

It’s safe to say I learnt nothing about wine as I was staring at my hand the whole wine tasting session!

Tell us about your wedding planning journey…

We knew we didn’t want a long engagement, so we booked our Shropshire Wedding venue & church within 3 weeks of being engaged.

Delbury Hall was 45 mins away from us & the only venue we considered.

It was perfect for us as we wanted to make use of the 10 beautiful cottages on site & we loved the fact the church was through a cute little path through from the venue.

I walked to the church on the morning.. that was probably my favourite moment!!

Any special touches?

Harry made me a 15 minute video to watch the morning of the wedding, it was all of our memories.

Our labradoodle Rocco was our dog of honour.

We didn’t do much DIY, we had some amazing suppliers, we had a pizza van in the evening! And we had a Italian sharing platters for starters and puddings & an Italian themed buffet style banquet as our wedding breakfast.

What was the theme /colour palette of your Big Day?

Italian!! Lots of greenery & golds. Our florist said she had never ordered so much eucalyptus!!

I knew I wanted my maid of honour in a gorgeous gown I had already seen & my other girls wore hunter green Dessy dresses.

What was the best bit of your day?

This is really hard.. we LOVED it all.

We both said the next morning however that there was a moment that stood out for us..

We had long trestle tables so when we were introduced as the new Mr & Mrs Jones, we danced through the middle to “signed, sealed, delivered” high fiving our guests.. everyone was up on there feet dancing.

. I’ve never been to a wedding where this has happened, if I could have bottled the atmosphere at that moment it would sell for millions.

It was a room full of all of our favourite people, so happy and so content.

What advice would you give to other couples getting married?

100% research your photographer and videographer… we didn’t want to be pulled left right & centre & so we opted for a natural videographer and photographer & it was the best decision we made.

We didn’t even know they were there but every part of our day is pictured.

Enjoy every second, take a step back & take it all in.

Don’t get worked up leading up to the big day, it’s true what people say, everything does fall into place.
