Today I am thrilled to share this gorgeous Liverpool Wedding with pretty blush pink, rose gold and white details at the Malmaison Hotel.
Images were captured by Michelle Louise Photography.
Michelle loves a good wedding and being from the North she tends to bound in to make forever friends with everyone there.
She’s a Manchester based photographer but travels all over the North West and the UK capturing epic parties, funny family moments and your emotional moments you don’t want to forget.
She loves to meet new people and her job means she gets to spend her time with really happy couples and their amazing friends and families.
She likes to get to know her clients and more importantly has a laugh with them so when she shoots on the day it comes with ease and of course lots of fun!
I hand over to beautiful Bride Paulina who shares couples love story and about their Liverpool Wedding day…
Tell us a little about yourselves….
I’m Paulina; I’m 25 and originally from Mexico and have recently moved to the UK to live with my now husband, Sean who is 23 and from Liverpool.
How did you meet?
We met through work as we both worked on the same cruise ship; I was working in one of the shops on board and Sean
was a marine engineer.
Our first meeting was in the crew bar after Sean bought me a drink.
For our first date Sean took me out to Crowne Casino in Melbourne. We spent around 6 months together on the ship before we
decided to move to the UK together.
Tell us about the Proposal…
In September 2018, Sean took me to Cologne for a long weekend and proposed at sunset on a rooftop overlooking the Rhine river and Cologne Cathedral.
He asked somebody to take a photo of us and then got down on one knee! I don’t think the girl really knew what to do, but he had promised me that he would get a photo of the proposal so it’s my fault I suppose!
Tell us about your wedding planning journey…
Planning our wedding was quite difficult due to distance as I had to travel back to Mexico to complete my visa application.
This meant that Sean had to send me photos and videos from suppliers to help make decisions without me meeting them or seeing certain things in person.
We tried our best to do most things whilst together which meant leaving things quite late.
Any special touches?
We didn’t really make anything ourselves we did most things through the venue dresser and florist.
The only thing we did ourselves was the favours and a table in memory of family members that have passed away and couldn’t be with us
What was the colour palette of your Big Day?
I chose blush pink, rose gold and white to style our Liverpool wedding day.
What was the best bit of your day?
There were quite a few best bits.
We both loved our ceremony, it was perfect and went exactly as we wanted.
I was so excited for everyone to see me in my dress; especially Sean, and we wrote our own vows which were especially emotional
We also loved taking our photos together; I had some ideas that I really wanted to take and we had lots of fun capturing them.
Lastly I just loved having all our family and friends there to celebrate with us.
Is there anything you would do differently?
I think I probably wouldn’t have worried so much about the little things, because during the day none of those things mattered and you don’t notice them.
What advice would you give to other couples getting married?
Whatever you think your budget is; double it!! And try to take as much in as you possibly can on the day; absorb every moment you
can and relax!
