Today I am thrilled to share the gorgeous relaxed Kent Wedding of Maria and Rowland with pretty blue and white details at Goodnestone Park.
Images were captured by Helen England Photography.
Helen England is a Wedding obsessive.
She takes beautiful, creative photographs that faithfully capture the story of your wedding day. But more than that, she creates photographs that make people happy!
Through her work, you’ll be able to relive the romance, excitement, energy and happiness of your wedding day – not just for now but for many years to come.
She loves to capture people who love to laugh. She photographs people who are completely nuts about each other, and people having a brilliant time.
It’s her job to capture the full story of your day: the big moments as well as all the not-so-big in-between moments that matter just as much.
Her style is relaxed, natural and authentic, and captures real moments as they unfold. she embraces natural light and bright colours with a soft, gentle and romantic edge.
Bride Maria says of the couples beautiful relaxed Kent Wedding …
How did you meet?
We used to walk to school together when we were 15.
After leaving school we never saw each other for 30 years but then we caught up again on Facebook.
Tell us about the Proposal…
Rowland proposed during a family meal for my birthday.
Tell us about your wedding planning journey…
Our planning was very relaxed, we had discussed the things we most wanted and who we wanted to share the day with.
It was then just a case of putting it all together which all went smoothly and the whole atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable. In fact I loved organising it.
Any Special Touches/ DIY?
The DIY bits were our table arrangements after I did lots of instagram searching etc,
Our table centres were three old books from a charity shop with mason jars on top as vases.
Likewise jam jars with string and love hearts on for our tipi tables outside, tea lights were re used from my nieces wedding earlier in the year.
What was the theme /colour palette of your Big Day?
The theme was just a relaxed, laidback day, and the colour theme was white ( not my dress ) The boys were in dark blue top and tails….
The bridesmaids dresses were the same designer as my dress, after I had seen them no other dress compared.
What was the best bit of your relaxed Kent Wedding?
I cannot actually choose a specific part but we had a gospel choir that sang Amazing Grace in the church….
It made the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. They had absolutely fabulous voices, amazing.
We made a whole weekend of it and had a meal and dancing the evening before, and then we planned for the wedding service to be later in the day to recover from the night before
Is there anything you would do differently?
I would maybe delegate more jobs but its hard when you have a certain vision you want to create.
What advice would you give to other couples getting married?
Honestly I would just enjoy the planning and not stress about if anything goes wrong, no one is judging anything and all the people that are there are your family and friends who want to be there.
Make sure you enjoy the day as much as you can because its all over in a flash.
Also looking back I would probably have had a videographer.
