Ayshea says of the couples day…
Chloe and Gareth had their perfect day planned as a rustically inspired barn wedding in Suffolk, with a ceremony in the family village church and a reception at Barrandov Opera afterwards.
Chloe chose the prettiest shade of sea foam green for her bridesmaids, and added contrast with pastel pinks and ivory in her flowers to make the day feel really bright and pretty.
Her dress was a lace and tulle creation with a full floaty skirt and a little bit of sparkle to catch the light from Boutique of Dreams, and she complimented them with the perfect shoes to match the colour scheme, however these shoes later became notorious.
Chloe and Gareth love bees, so the delicate bee themed jewellery that she received as a gift was her final accessory to complete her wedding day look, alongside gorgeous blooms tied with soft lace from Henley Flowers.
One of the things that stands out about this day is just how close Chloe is to her family. They mean everything to her and her Mum’s joy in helping Chloe into her dress was just beautiful.
Another memory was her Dad’s reaction – and their love for each other when looking at Chloe’s he first saw her in her dress.
It was emotional for everyone in the room, with most of us getting a little teary.
Chloe’s Dad had worked really hard up in the run up to the big day to make sure that the garden looked stunning and full of flowers – and it was beautiful backdrop for Chloe for some bridal portraits.
Groom Gareth opted for a classic blue suit and pink accents to match in with the flowers and colour palette with a few bee accessories too.
As Gareth waited patiently, the theme from ‘Love Actually’ started and Chloe made her entrance, which will stay in my memory for a long time, and then Rev Carl gave the funniest, happiest and most heart felt sermon.
Everyone participated and was included in his joy at delivering it.
After the ceremony, and the immediate group photographs they made their way over to their venue in the cutest way – a convertible beetle.
Their venue is a hidden gem and so perfect for rustic and barn weddings with very simple and soft styling allowing the character of the barn to shine through.
The beautiful pink and green colour palette and their Bee influenced favours just complimented the rustic vibe beautifully.
During the planning, Gareth had been really excited by the cake – he’d chosen the flavours after a lot of research and was convinced that one of the tiers would be his alone.
He’d also insisted that I took a slice – I didn’t need much convincing! It looked beautiful and tasted even better!!
Barrandov Opera has the most amazing gardens, a rose tunnel, and gorgeous flowers everywhere, so its incredible for taking a couple away from the guests and letting them enjoy themselves for a little while amongst such a beautiful setting.
So back to the story of those shoes…half way into the portraits, Chloe starts hobbling, and itt turned out that her heel had broken!
Luckily they thought it was funny and it would become another memory and story to share.
It was then on to the speeches which are one of my favourite parts of a wedding day.
They’re so full of emotions and laughter, and this one was no different with a few words of love and teasing causing much hilarity.
As the light was softening and the garden games were going on, I thought it was a great time to get a few more bridal party portraits, and some couples portraits
Golden hour is my favourite time to shoot, not just because of the amazing light you get, but all the formalities of a wedding day are finished so we made the most of the stunning grounds in the evening sunshine.
It was a chance for Chloe and Gareth to have some time together before the party.
After the cake cutting and first dance, it was time to enjoy the party with dancing into the night.
