Images of the day were captured by Derek Christie Photography.
Derek says of his work…
“My style is very much capturing the fun element of your day as well as photographing those signature photographs for you to treasure forever.”
“I want to tell the story of your wedding day by melting into the background when there are hugs and tears of happiness to be captured but stepping in to have some fun with the guests to help set up shots like the Confetti shot or the family groups.”
“Every wedding is different but there are key elements to each and every wedding day.”
“It’s all the little things that happen around these key times of your wedding day that make it memorable to you in particular.”
“Capturing these precious moments is hugely important to me as these make your wedding unique and give you years of amazing memories.”
“I have photographed weddings at some of the most prestigious venues in Edinburgh as well as some of the more unusual and more intimate venues.”
“From The Balmoral Hotel and Dundas Castle, to Inchcolm Abbey out in the Forth.”
“From weddings at The George Hotel in Edinburgh to a quaint church in The Scottish highlands.”
“From the smallest wedding of just the Bride and Groom who flew in from the USA or Australia to weddings with 200+ guests packing out country houses, I have wedding photography packages for everyone.”
Derek says of the couple…
“I was really looking forward to Leanne and Keith’s wedding at The Roxburghe Hotel and St Cuthbert’s.”
“St Cuthbert’s is a beautiful church right at the bottom of Lothian Road, and it was a lovely Ceremony.”
“From there it was a short walk to Princes Street Gardens for the family wedding photographs as well as the bride and groom portraits.”
“The weather for late October was spectacular!”
“Late afternoon sun stayed away long enough for the family group shots but made an appearance just in time for some great light during Leanne and Keith’s portrait shots.”
“We then headed over to The Roxburghe where family and friends were joined by evening guests to dance the night away.”
I now hand you over to beautiful Bride Leanne…
