A pretty Austrian Wedding with winter forest styling

Today I am thrilled to share this pretty Austrian Wedding with winter forest styling.

The couple Joyce and Harm were married in an igloo before a wonderful family celebration at a traditional Austrian guesthouse.

Images were captured by Renate at Wit Photography.

Wit Photography is Renate van Dijk, a photographer with bases in the Hague, England and Serbia.

She is the kind of wedding photographer who believes that the most important thing on a wedding day is that you enjoy yourselves and have the most epic day possible.

Renate describes herself as a non-traditional, primarily journalistic type of fine art destination wedding photographer that loves anything alternative and quirky.

She says of the couples Big Day…

“Joyce, Harmen and their 6 year old daughter Kyrsa decided on a wedding in the ice chapel in the igloo village in the mountains of Brixen im Thale in Austria.”

“The wedding bouquet, wedding cake and table styling were all beautifully matched in a natural way with a winter forest feel and, of course in accordance with the winter wedding theme.”

“They also hey danced their first dance on a song from Frozen wjhich is Kyrsa’s favoirite movie.”

“Throughout the wedding it is very clear that family is a very important part of this day.”

“Not only Joyce and Harm but also their daughter Kyrsa receives a ring during the wedding ceremony.”

“The theme of the day was ‘Let Love Rule’, the personal motto of Joyce’s very dear sister who died shortly before the wedding.”

“During the ceremony a seat with a candle was saved to commemorate her, the sparklers after dinner are dedicated to her and the sparklers, matches and cake topper carry the ‘Let love rule’ motto, all so she is a part of it in a positive way.”

“Together with their wonderful wedding planner Charlotte from Trouweninoostenrijk.nl (Dutch for ‘Wedding in Austria’) they created a dream destination wedding with a very meaningful ceremony in the snowy mountains.”

“To make it more personal the bride’s dad conducted the ceremony and was also the person to officially marry them).”

“Afterwards there was an Austrian dinner, of course including wienerschnitzel and apfelstrudel and a hell of a party at their wonderful hotel Gasthaus Kirchenwirt.”
