Today I am thrilled to share this gorgeous rustically inspired Cambridgeshire Wedding with pretty blue accents and a Scottish Twist at Bassmead Manor Barns.

She says of the couples day…
When Stuart and Sophie first got in touch with me about their barn wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns I was delighted.
They were planning a relaxed countryside wedding with lawn games and giant Jenga – always a winner!
The ceremony itself took place inside the most quirky barn, called The Rickety Barn (the name makes it obvious no part of the building had a straight line.).
They also had a family friend play the acoustic guitar during the ceremony, which brought everyone to tears.
After the ceremony they were showered with confetti, and then the fun garden games commenced!
The wedding reception took place inside the main barn, which they’d decorated with wild flowers and rustic touches.
Beautiful Bride Sophie says of the couples love story and lovely Cambridgeshire Wedding day…
How did you meet?
We met on our first day at work on our Graduate Training Scheme after University.
We arrived at the same time so sat next to each other all day.
Tell us about the Proposal…
Fairly low key, we had a nice meal in our local pub and Stuart popped the question when we got home.
Nothing overly fancy…but it was a total surprise!
Tell us about your wedding planning journey…
Everything went fairly smoothly really. We were fairly sure what we wanted and found the perfect venue quite early on.
We were lucky to find excellent suppliers who we really got on with and filled us with confidence, so after a couple of meetings we felt like we had all the major parts in place.
What was the theme /colour palette of your Big Day?
There was a country/rustic theme, with a Scottish twist with the kilts and sea thistles in the button holes and bouquets
Any special touches?
A friend of Stuart’s designed the seating plan and another friend played guitar during our ceremony.
We also accented Stuart’s Family Tartan through the day, using the pattern on the invites, order of service and the seating plan.
What was the best bit of your day?
It was so lovely that so many of our close friends and family all attended.
Seeing everyone close to you in the same place for a really happy celebration was really very special.
What advice would you give to other couples getting married?
Just try to enjoy the day, it can be a lot of stress getting there but make sure you enjoy it.
Also make sure you get round to see everybody and have a quick catch up – and remember to check in with each other!
It does go quickly but it was brilliant.
