A stunning Ayrshire Wedding at Trump Turnberry with stylish pink, grey and cream accents

Today I am thrilled to share a stunning Ayrshire Wedding at Trump Turnberry with stylish pink, grey and cream accents.

Natalie and David celebrated their special day surrounded by their closest family and friend at this gorgeous coastal wedding venue in September 2021.

Images were captured by Tom Cairns Photography.

Tom Cairns is a fine art wedding and portrait photographer based in Kilmarnock, Scotland.

His approach to photography is a refreshingly simple one: a style that is honest and fun, celebrating life, love and family.

Beautiful Bride Natalie shares the couples love story, and tells us about their stunning Ayrshire Wedding day…

How did you meet?

We met in a pub in our local town having met when we were teenagers. (although David doesn’t remember this…)

Tell us about the Proposal…

I had just come back from a week away with my work. The weather wasn’t great but we wanted to go a big dog walk as that’s how we enjoy spending our time.

We visited Culzean Castle which is local to us and David had suggested getting a picture of us and our dog Jax.

He asked a couple to take our photo and got down on one knee and proposed. I think the couple taking the photograph were just as shocked as me!

Tell us about your wedding planning journey…

The planning wasn’t ideal as it was during COVID.

All places were closed so I had to order dresses online for Bridesmaids. This was the same with kilts as groomsmen had to visit the shop individually to be measured.

I thankfully got to shop for  my own dress.

Our venue was also closed for a good while so there was an extended period where nothing could be planned/organised so more was done nearer the time.

We sadly didn’t get to visit Wedding Open Days etc either.

When we had booked our date we assumed COVID would be a distant memory by the time we were due to marry.

We had to reschedule our wedding too to ensure we had the amount of people we wanted there and for live music and dancing to be allowed which if on our previous date this wouldn’t have been.

It also impacted our guests as some had COVID, and due to a rescheduled date my Maid of Honour had just given birth so could only attend the ceremony.

Also being told last minute when the numbers allowed had increased many guests had already made plans as it was during a school holiday.

We also missed out on a proper Hen/Stag Do which was a shame.

What was the theme /colour palette of your Big Day?

We chose pink, grey and cream accents for the styling.

Any special touches?

Pupils in Natalie’s P7 class drew pictures that were placed on tables as centrepieces.

What was the best bit of your day?

Neither of us have a best bit…the whole day was just perfect!

What advice would you give to other couples getting married?

Make the most of every minute as the day goes by so quickly.

Try to spend a bit of the day together just yourselves to enjoy it.
