A stunning Disney inspired Wedding in Nottingham with pink, blue and ivory details

Today I am thrilled to share this stunning Disney inspired Wedding in Nottingham with pink, blue and ivory details.

Images were captured by Kate Hollingsworth Photography.

Kate is a Wedding and family photographer based in Sutton Coldfield and Solva, Pembrokeshire

She enjoys photographing families in the familiar surroundings of their own homes.

She also photographs special occasions from weddings to parties, trying to use only natural light in creating pictures to treasure.

Kate said of the couple and their Disney inspired Wedding day…

Jess and Luke saw my name on the flyer at a wedding fair, took a look at my website and loved my work so dropped me a line.

We met in a lovely pub in Ashby della Zouch where  I often meet clients in this pub as it’s cosy and quite quiet.

As soon as I met the couple we clicked, and I was honoured to photograph their day.

I started off at Jessica’s family home and had a really warm welcome from her family, Matron of honour and best man.

It was a very chilled out morning croissants and jam Jessica did her own make up and she had time to chill with her dad and her dog.

I worked with a second photographer, Sam Coley, who w as over with Luke over to his house to  capture his preparation.

The ceremony was at Langar Church which is next to Langar Hall in a beautiful spot on the edge of Nottingham. The minister of the church was super friendly and the ceremony was just perfect.

Jess had organised a really chilled out day so after the ceremony we wandered over to the Unicorn Pub which was literally a one minute walk.

The pub was beautifully decorated, but we had lots of time to go and get some incredible pictures in the grounds of Langar Hall before eating.

One of the best bits for me was I when I discovered there was an old red bus outside the pub!

I love the chance to be a bit creative so I asked the bus driver if he would mind us getting a few photographs with the bus, and  he didn’t mind at all so we got some great captures.

The speeches were very emotional Jess Is very close to her family especially her dad and his speech was lovely.

After dessert we snuck away  to catch the golden hour sun and some portraits with a couple again.

I hand over to gorgeous Bride Jess to share the couples loves story, and recollections of their beautiful Disney inspired wedding day…

Tell us a wee bit about yourselves…

Luke and I both work in the education sector, andare both 26 – although he would have me tell you that I am 10 months older and therefore old.

We have a dog called Marlee, two guinea pigs called Coa and Belle and we have recently had a baby boy called Reuben.

We actually found out in our honeymoon that we were expecting and it all seems to have gone extraordinarily quickly!

How did you meet as a Couple?

Luke and I met when we were 18 on the dating app Tinder. However, it didn’t work out and we went out separate ways.

I then went to university and Luke pursued his sporting career.

When we were 23 we met back up again via Facebook. It went from there really and both of us were in a better place to peruse a relationship.

He will disagree but he is always someone I’ve sort of kept half an eye on over the years as I’ve always fancied him!

Tell us about the Engagement…

We got engaged on my 25th birthday.

Luke isn’t one for flashy gestures and we had had the conversation so I found a ring I liked, told him I’d be wearing it on ‘that’ finger and it went from there.

Although he did get a personalised tea spoon saying Will you marry me?  on it as he knows how much I love tea!

Tell us about your wedding planning journey…

It was always going to be a Disney wedding due to my obsession with Disney, and we chose a pink, blue and ivory colour scheme.

It was stressful, especially working full time too but we managed it.

I had more of an input than Luke (more because I would spend lots of time looking for things) but I would always run things by him and decisions were always made together.

Any special touches?

My grandad made the table names as he is a signwriter and we had lots of Disney touches.

We spent ages looking on Etsy and places for the perfect decorations.

What was the best bit of your day?

We had special guests Mickey and Minnie (my mum organised it and only a few of us knew).

Luke didn’t know anything about it so seeing his face when we came out of church was amazing.

Is there anything you would do differently?

I’d have different hymns in church as no one knew them!

What advice would you give to other couples getting married?

Chill out! And enjoy every second of your day because it’ll be over before you know it.

Also, take time for you and your husband/wife during the day just to be alone.
