Today I am thrilled to share a stunning intimate California Wedding at Sycamore Springs with striking silver and black details.

I hand over to Groom Anthony to tell us about the couple and their day…
How did you meet?
Cait and I met at work.
We were collaborating on an issue and discovered we had a lot more in common than just work, and our relationship grew from there.
Tell us about the proposal..
I surprised Cait for her 30th birthday and popped the question at our favourite winery in Paso Robles, Tooth & Nail.
Tell us about your wedding planning journey…
Our wedding planning journey was during the uncertainty of COVID with the possibility of rescheduling or cancellations looming.
Once we realized things were starting to ease, our stress went way down. It helped that we decided on a venue and coordinator that handled everything on site.
Sycamore Mineral Springs is not just beautiful and accommodating, but incredibly easy to work with.
What was the inspiration for your day?
Well, with most things in our life, Silver & Black are prevalent.
I bought Cait a black diamond engagement ring set in white gold. She then shocked me by wearing a stunning black wedding dress.
Thankfully, I had the foresight to buy her matching black diamond earrings as a wedding day gift.
What was the best part of your day?
The best part of our day was seeing each other for the first time, fully decked out in our wedding attire, and finally realizing the moment was upon us.
Spending time with friends and family was a lovely bonus.
The cake and decorations were fantastic, but I think our six-year-old son’s dance moves at the end of the night stole the show.
Do you have any advice for couples getting married?
As for advice for couples getting married… do what YOU want to do, not what others tell you they think you should do.
If you want a small, intimate wedding with limited guests, do that.
Don’t let anyone pressure you into inviting people who don’t make YOUR cut. The day is about you as a couple and surrounding yourselves with people who make you happy.
If that’s less than 20 people, like it was for us, so be it. If you enjoy the company of 200 people and can afford such a guest list, then do that, but only because you want to.
Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions of your coordinator and vendors. You need to know exactly what you’re getting from everyone.
Lastly, relax. It will all work out, it will all be perfect. And if it’s not, you’ll have a story to tell later on. Trust me, I told a great one at my reception speech.
