I hand over to gorgeous Bride Vicki to share her story…

How did you meet?

Lewis and I first met approximately 10 years ago. We were just friends at the time and I was in another relationship.

We then met up again about six years ago and completed a charity bike ride together!

Quite random I know, but it definitely sparked up something new between us and soon after we became an official couple.

Tell us about the Engagement…

We were on holiday in Sardinia. Lewis had somehow managed to sneak the ring in his hand luggage, I had absolutely no idea that he was planning to propose!

One evening we were sat on the beach watching the sunset and he suddenly turned to me on one knee and popped the question.

I was in total shock and actually said “are you serious” – I just couldn’t believe it!

But of course I was extremely happy and then said “yes.”

Tell us about your wedding planning journey…

We were engaged for approximately 18 months before the Big Day.

I was pretty relaxed the whole way through, I wanted to enjoy every minute and try not to get stressed at any point (although sometimes it’s inevitable!).

We saw five different venues before we decided on Narborough Hall Gardens. It ticked  every box and we knew it was the right choice for us.

The wedding planner was extremely helpful throughout and catered to our every need, which meant that everything ran effortlessly on the day.

What was the theme /colour palette of your Big Day?

I didn’t have much of a colour palette in mind when I was planning, although I’ve always liked pale pinks and different shades of green.

We ended up having a lot of pink and white floristry with green ivy which I love!

What was the best bit of your day?

It’s almost impossible to pick one thing. I loved every moment from start to finish, but I think most of all I enjoyed having everyone that I truly care about in one place.

It’s quite rare that you can get together all of your friends and family at any one time so that was very special.

What advice would you give to other couples getting married?

To go with the flow and enjoy every minute. Always trust your gut instinct and don’t worry about what other people might think.

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself either. Work out what’s most important to you and focus on that – nothing else matters.

On the day itself, try to take a step back and look around you as it can be such a blur.

Take some mental pictures and remember how happy you felt at that special moment.
