Today I am thrilled to share the stunning Surrey Wedding of Paula and Wayne at Foxhills with hints of aubergine, cream and blush pink.
Images of the day were captured by Carrie of Devonshire Photographic and assisted by James Gregory.
Carrie Devonshire (BSc Hons) is a young, passionate photographer based in Camberley, Surrey offering a mix of traditional and contemporary approaches to photography.
Specialising in weddings, portraits and commercial photography, Carrie covers Surrey, Hampshire & Berkshire with nowhere being too far to travel.
Since starting photography whilst still at school with her first Canon film EOS Carrie’s passion grew and grew until after starting a degree in Photography she decided to start ‘Devonshire Photographic’.
Now entering her 6th year the business has gone from strength to strength with Carrie photographing more and more weddings each year.
Carrie says of the couple and their Big Day….
“I met the couple early last year when they contacted me after family & friends had recommended me to them.”
“I went to school with Wayne’s older brother so it was lovely to see the family again and be asked to be part of their special day.”
“Wayne and Paula’s big day was spectacular from start to finish, it was exactly what a wedding day should be; filled with lots of love and laughter.”
“Both families made me and James feel so welcome that it didn’t feel like we were at work at all!”
“It was a real honour to be part of, from the beautiful ceremony in the library at Foxhills right up to their first dance as husband and wife, with everything in between.”
I also had a wee chat with beautiful Bride Paula…
How did you meet?
“We met at school. Whilst we didn’t know each other well we actually got together at our school prom and have been together ever since.”
When did you get engaged?
“We got engaged in August 2012 whilst on a lovely holiday in Ibiza with family and friends.”
Tell us about your wedding planning journey
“We went to a wedding Fayre at Foxhills in November 2012 and were sold on the Venue from the moment we pulled into the grounds; we booked our BIG day there and then and started to plan away!”
“We hadn’t worked with Carrie before and indeed knew she was on maternity leave at the time of booking our wedding but had no question as to who we wanted to capture out day and contacted her there and then. It was that simple!”
“Needless to say, we are so glad we did!”
“The finer details fell into place over the 14 months we had to plan our perfect day with regular trips to Foxhills just for the fun.”
When did you get married?
“We were married on March 8th 2014.”
What was the best bit of your day?
“The whole day was perfect with neither of us wanting to change a single thing. ”
“Saying our vows was probably the most special part, neither of us could stop smiling and the speeches caused one too many giggles (at the grooms expense) with my best friend and chief bridesmaid giving a surprise speech at the end to really top it off.”
What advice would you give to other couples getting married?
“Enjoy the build up and planning, it’s just as exciting as they say.”
“Also the day goes so fast so do take a step back to take it all in and see others enjoying your day as much as you.”
Thank you so much to the couple for sharing their special moments, and Carrie for sharing her incredible photography of this wonderful Surrey Wedding.
Each image is filled with love, laughter and emotion.
I love the beautiful soft colours and elegant styling, and a sense of fun and joy throughout.
