She says of the couples Wisconsin Winter Wedding day…
Shellie and Mark met through an on-line dating site, and spent quite some time getting to know each other over the phone before having their first date at a bistro restaurant in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Shellie had confessed to her sister, before even meeting Mark in person, that he was the one. Mark says that when she walked in and he and saw Shellie, it was love at first sight.
It was only fitting that Mark proposed to Shellie at that exact same bistro, with their song playing on a boom box, a photo of them on their first date – framed and on ‘their’ table – along with the cork from their first shared bottle of wine.
When asked to describe their relationship – they both agree. It’s all about love, laughter, having fun & being relaxed.
Their ceremony and reception was small and intimate, with best friends and close family in attendance.
Shellie’s two teenage children accompanied her down the aisle. Her son gave a reading, and her daughter sang them a song, and it really brought them together as a family when they had a sand ceremony.
They hired a harpist to play music for guests prior to the ceremony all the way through dinner, and she was played wonderfully.
Mark showed his appreciation to everyone – including each of the vendors – during a heartfelt thank you speech at dinner, which epitomized the wonderful human being that he is, and why Shellie is so smitten with him.
