A Suzanne Neville Dress for a Hampshire Barn Wedding with a pink and gold theme

Today I am thrilled to share this beautiful Hampshire Barn Wedding with a Suzanne Neville Dress and a pink and gold theme.

Images were captured by Hampshire Wedding Photographer – ShootingHip.

Rob Burress is a Hampshire Wedding Photographer who also shoots portraits and enjoys corporate photography work as well.
Based in Petersfield, Hampshire he works all over the UK and around the globe.

He loves to shoot progressive storytelling images and specalises in emotive and amazing photographs that focus on the most important thing in all our lives…the people we know and love.

Rob says of the couples day…

“The threat of downpours was always present but luckily for everyone the rain did actually stay away.”

“I met up with Sarah, the Bridesmaids and her parents at Old Thorns in Liphook.”

“Whilst arriving for your wedding in a VM campervan is pretty cool, its even more amazing when its your mum’s campervan.”

“It was perfectly adorned for an amazing journey for both Sarah and her Bridesmaids.”

“Tithe Barn looked incredible (as usual) with a vast array of purple uplighters giving the barn a fantastic atmopshere.”

“It’s always amazing to work there and as a recommended photographer at Tithe Barn I get quite a few opportunities.”

“Sarah (and her dress) looked incredible and despite James’ ‘uh oh look’ (you’ll see it when he’s at the front of the barn waiting for Sarah to arrive) he looked very much the part of handsome Groom.”

“With better weather on the way we opted to photograph the couple after the meal.”

“I’m so glad we did as the light was fantastic and despite visiting the barn over 60 times I was able to find a new location to add to the many I already utilise given any weather.”

“I stayed on for quite a few songs by the band in the evening to ensure I had some great images to give back to Sarah and James before I left them dancing the night away…”

I hand you over to beautiful Bride Sarah…

How did you meet?

“We met at work when we were both doing a sponsored degree scheme at a company called Logica.”

“I would like to say our eyes met over the canteen and we fell in love there and then but we were friends for a couple of years before realising our true feelings for each other and just over 6 years later we’re married!”

Tell us about the Engagement?

“We were at West Wittering beach which is my favourite places of all time.”

“I have lots of memories from being there with my family when I was younger so it holds a lot of sentimental value.”

“We had been for a walk along the beach and then were sat on one of the sand dunes looking out at the sea and then James got on one knee and asked.”

Tell us about your wedding planning journey

“With us both being Project Manager’ by trade, our organisational skills came into great use (although we manged to limit it to only having 2 spreadsheets!).”

“Within a month of being engaged we had found the venue, set the date and I had found my dream dress.2

“Being a lover of Pinterest, I had found lots of ideas for our wedding every before we were engaged (managed to keep that one a secret from James until now!).”

“Given that we had about 18 months to plan, I’m pleased to say it was actually fairly stress free which we were very grateful for!”

What was the theme /colour palette of your Big Day?

“Our venue was The Tithe Barn in Petersfield which, for anyone who knows it will already know, is a beautiful barn which
needed minimal additions to make it stunning so we kept things simple with our decorations.”

“We opted for a pink and gold theme with the bridesmaids dresses being a vintage rose colour and hot pink bouquets and out tables had a classic bouquet centre piece and a mixture of gold and clear votives.”

What was the best bit of your day?

“Actually getting married and then dancing the night away!”

What advice would you give to other couples getting married?

“Make time for yourselves to actually enjoy it.”

“The day will go by in a flash and it’s important to take some time to take it in.”
