Meredith says of the couples water inspired intimate Wedding…
As one of the many brides affected by Covid this year, Cate had decided to alter her original wedding plans in favour of an intimate ceremony on the lawn in front of Jekyll Island Club overlooking the water.
The Jekyll Island Club Is a private club on Jekyll Island, on Georgia’s Atlantic coast built in 1887, parts of which are counted as national historical landmarks.
Despite a torrential downpour an hour before the wedding, she was in great spirits as she got ready for her wedding day.
The wind that had been gusting for the past few hours calmed, and as Catie walked down the aisle on her father’s arm her niece and nephew played a string duet personalising the day with a family touch..
She and Brad had chosen blue as a colour palette for styling the day and throughout there was a theme of water that matched this colour choice.
This seemed to be a running theme in their relationship from Brad proposing while diving in the ocean (SUPER BRAVE) to rain before the ceremony, and of course, getting married overlooking the water.
Catie’s parents hosted a reception after the ceremony inside the historic Jekyll Island Club with an intimate candlelight dinner being a romantic end to the wedding day.
