Today I am delighted to share this gorgeous Yorkshire Wedding filled with rainbow brights at the Hospitium.
Images of the day were captured by Georgina Harrison Photography.
Georgina Harrison is a Wedding Photographer based in Yorkshire.
In her photography she aims to combine fresh and contemporary images with a romantic, natural and beautiful style.
I hand over to beautiful bride Charissa….
How did you meet?
“We met at the Toby carvery we both work at, he had just started a job in the kitchen as a chef and I was working as a waitress.”
When did you get engaged?
“Simon proposed on Christmas Eve 2013, using a chewbacca teddy and the website imgur.”
Tell us about your wedding planning journey
“We went for a day out in York in January and walked through the museum gardens and completely fell in love with the Hospitium.”
“After arranging a meeting and confirming dates we booked the evening venue the Longlands working men’s club and the band Ska Boom.”
“I went to Truly Beautiful in Guisborough for my wedding dress, and couldn’t be happier with the service we received from them.”
“Thats is also where I saw Georgina’s business card and arranged a meeting with her to speak about Wedding Photography.”
“Everything just fell into place after that!”
“My mam Val helped organise and arrange a lot of the wedding, we shared the same vision and without her helping us the day wouldn’t have been half as special and unique!”
When did you get married?
“We got married on Monday the 18th of August 2014.”
What was the best bit of your day?
“It is impossible to pick a best bit of the day.”
“We had a very emotional car journey to York and a funny highlight where Simon put the ring on the wrong finger.”
“All in all, it was perfect from start to finish!”
What advice would you give to other couples getting married?
“Make the day your own and enjoy every second of it.”
“Also wear comfy shoes!!”
Thank you so much to Georgina for sharing this stunning Yorkshire Wedding.
Such a pretty setting and I love all the wee rainbow DIY touches that make the day so personal, such as the fabulous handcarafted horseshoe, and the bunting, and the amazing seating plan.
And I have to say the gold piece centrepieces signifying whats at the end of the rainbow is genius.
To conclude, as a surprise for Charissa and Simon, Charrisa’s Dad made a wee video with the help of some family and friends in celebration of their “Perfect Day”…
