Today I am thrilled to share an exquisite Australian Vintage inspired Country Wedding.
Images of this beautiful day were captured by Ben Clark Photography.
Dasha & Ryan had their Country Wedding at Clandulla Cottages, at Boyland in Queensland.
The theme of their day was vintage inspired.
They had two ceremonies.
The first an outdoor service with family and friends, and then off to a (well hidden and amazing) local church for a renewal of vows.
Ben says of the nuptials, “I think my favourite moment of the day was here inside the church when Dasha was getting a little teary and the window light shining on those tears.”
“I’m a sucker for emotion.”
I hand over to the Ryan, the Groom to share the couples story…
Tell us how you met
“While teaching English in St Petersburg, Russia, I met Dasha through mutual friends.”
The proposal
“A park in St Petersburg.”
“A simple drop to the ground on one knee (done gracefully) and those special words spoken! She said ‘yes’!!!”
“Much work followed as a visa application was needed, select family and friends were called upon to support the application and then the long wait for the approval from the Department of Immigration.”
The Wedding Day
“The 1st Ceremony & Reception location was Clandulla Cottages, Boyland, Qld.”
Funniest Moment
“The realisation that Geelong were playing Collingwood during the reception!”
Favourite Wedding Day moment
“Seeing Dasha walk down the aisle.”
Special thanks to…
“Overseas guests for attending, from Minnesota and St Petersburg, family for supporting Dashas visa and Claire McKenzie for contributing to the many areas of our wedding.”
Advice for other Couples
“Book Ben Clark if possible or make sure you have a photographer that suits you.”
“You cant get all things exact for your day, but do your best so it flows beautifully.”
Thank you so much To Ben for sharing this amazing vintage country wedding.
What a beautiful expanse Queensland is, with sprawling countryside much like Scotland.
Not quite the same weather wise but lovely nonetheless.
I love all the little rustic touches that Dasha and her bridal party have crafted, and how wonderful to have 2 ceremonies.
To be able to say those vows and then over again, so special.
