Today I am thrilled to share an incredible Harry Potter Theme Wedding at Highcliffe Castle.
Images of the day were captured by Ginny Marsh Photography.
Ginny Marsh is a full time professional photographer from Farnham, specialising in taking photos of what she loves – Weddings, Fashion, Portraiture and Boudoir.
Her style and approach to her work is really natural, informal and personal, and she loves relaxed, vintage, boho, retro and ethnic styles.
Ginny says of the couple and their day…
“Ben and Emily met via eBay.”
“Ben placed an ad for his Mary Quant Mini seats and Emily drove to Oxford to collect them in her red mini called ‘Peaches’ – somehow managing to squeeze them into her Mini! The rest is history.”
“They’ve been together about 8 years but I actually met Ben about 10 years ago because his Dad was my boss when I worked at the Digital Camera Company.”
“I’m so pleased he followed my photography business and thought to contact me when they got engaged!”
“I was so excited when I found out Emily and Ben both like Harry Potter and wanted to incorporate some of it into their wedding.”
“What started out as a subtle theme with blush pink and gold, soon ended up with amazing attention to detail as all the suppliers got really excited!!!”
“Highcliffe Castle is a beautiful Grade 1 listed building that hosts ceremonies and wedding receptions.”
“Emily and Ben had their ceremony there in the grand wintergarden room, which is great for winter weddings as it lets lots of light in.”
“The gardens are beautiful and it has magnificent views across to the Isle of White (on a clear day!).”
“There is also access to the beach (down lots of steps!). We took some gorgeous photos in the woodland and in front of the castle as it fitted in very well with the Harry Potter theme.”
“Their reception was held at Stanwell House – a gorgeous boutique Hotel in Lymington.”
“The caterers did a fab job with yummy food and the room was beautifully decorated with amazing detail to fit in with the Harry Potter theme, by Linen & Lace.”
“Being a Harry Potter fan myself, it made it even more magical to have the music from the movie playing throughout the ceremony and reception. I also thought the Bus driver from Mervyn’s Coaches was brilliant.”
Thank you to Ginny for sharing this wonderful Harry Potter Theme Wedding.
The styling is so creative with much thought creating an epic banquet style tabescape.
Books, and keys and stunning candleabras complimented the pretty potion bottles, all from Linen and Lace with some other themed touches from the couple, in particular the Hogwarts letters, Marauders map and chocolate frogs.
All in all its a spectacular and spellbinding day…
