Today I am excited to share this incredible Pokemon Themed Wedding in Warwickshire with hints of classic Nintendo.

She says of the couple and their day…
“Sinéad and Matthew (aka Shin and Patch) had an incredible Pokemon themed wedding at Woodside, in Kenilworth.”
“I can still remember when Sinéad first got in touch with their plans. I remember thinking “holy crap…a couple so gorgeous and sophisticated, and yet still incredibly fun and down to earth. I love them, and I was amazed to see the things they had lined up.”
“An underlying Pokémon theme, hints of classic Nintendo, lots of games, a completely relaxed vibe.”
“And of course, the stunning venue St Mary’s Guildhall in Coventry, Warwickshire for their ceremony.”
“I hadn’t heard of this venue before, but I was THRILLED to be shooting there once I had a look around. It’s gorgeous!”
“The historical tapestries hanging on the interior walls were amazing. And having it placed right opposite Coventry Cathedral ruins means there’s a wealth of gorgeous history to view.”
“On the day and first up was the bridal prep at a family home where “Shin” shared a lot of laughs and giggles with her bridesmaids and “bridesman”. He was brilliant.”
“I also loved the homemade celebration bunting and pompoms around the house. And you see the first hints of the Nintendo games theme, including a Pokémon ring box – so cool.”
“At the wedding reception, the geek gamers theme goes into full swing and is brilliantly done! There was also Sinéad’s amazing brooch bouquet (brooch donations from family and friends).”
“I think one of my favourite things to see was the carefully thought out Kanto Region seating plan.”
“All of the tables were “named” after the various Kanto cities, and then had a fantastic retro game as the centrepieces. (I’m a proper geek when it comes to stuff like this. It’s my not-so-hidden passion, and I’m not even sorry…)”
“I also adored the gym badges as buttonholes, and, well, the personal touches scattered throughout the whole day.”
“Weddings full of personality are nothing short of amazing. Topping it all off with a carefully rehearsed first dance (with awesome moves), made for a brilliant day.”
Thank you so much to Jaye for sharing this incredible Pokemon themed Wedding.
There is so much to love from the outstanding tableplan, to the stationery to the carefully curated centrepieces to the 1000’s of origami birds it took the couples 18 months to craft.
Just how much fun does this reception look.
So much to inspire from the Bride and Grooms creativity and expression of themselves as a couple.
