Today I am thrilled to share this intimate and romantic Isle of Skye Elopement in beautiful Elgol, with couple Terri and Col celebrating their love in a place very special to them.

Rosie says of the couples Isle of Skye Elopement….
Colin and Terri’s lockdown wedding in early 2021 met with plenty of adversity as they made plans for their special day.
From the pandemic to ill health to changes of dates through restrictions, the path to I Do was pretty rocky.
It wasn’t what they first envisioned but they decided on a Just Us wedding ceremony, and with Terri’s fantastic red wedding dress and the couple’s joy and beaming smiles the day absolutely shone!
I hand over to beautiful Bride Terri…
How did you meet?
We met when Col was trawling the internet looking for seafood, he found a site called Plenty of Fish and unfortunately, for him, found me.
It was between Christmas and New Year when he contacted me, I was about to leave the site, as I hadn’t found anyone that was remotely suitable.
Col asked if I fancied meeting for a drink before I disappeared and the rest is history.
Tell us about the Proposal…
I don’t think either of us actually proposed as such, we talked about getting married and he bought me a ring and that was that.
We always held back however because getting married meant my name would change to Terri Berry, and to me it sounds a bit like a tropical disease.
Tell us about your Wedding Planning journey…
We had decided a while back that we were going to get married at Elgol and just invite our closest family, but then Covid kicked in and we had to start cutting back on the number of guests.
We had booked three different lots of accommodation, but in the end nobody was allowed to share which meant we couldn’t even have our three daughters as they all lived separately.
So we ended up cancelling the wedding that was booked for Oct 2020.
At the end of last year we decided to do an elopement instead, and in the end it was the perfect day for us, no guests = no pressure.
What was your favourite part of the day?
We cannot decide on our favourite part of the day.
it was all so memorable, from meeting Davina, Rosie, Penny and Jo, to having our evening meal delivered by the Elgol Bistro and eating it out of the containers it was delivered in.
What advice would you give to couples getting married?
As to advise to couples planning their wedding, we would say never forget the day I’d YOUR special day, do whatever feels right for you.
