An intimate Fife wedding at Dunino and Falside Mill with natural tones & rustic styling

Today I am thrilled to share this beautiful intimate Fife wedding at Dunino and Falside Mill with natural tones & rustic styling.

They say of the couples stunning intimate Fife wedding…

With so many couples’ wedding plans thrown into disarray during 2020 we were rooting for Daniela and Jordan’s wedding day to go ahead last  September in Fife.

Luckily it was all able to go ahead, with  the couples closest family (and puppies!).

It was a glorious warm sunshiny day with an intimate ceremony in Dunino Kirk, one of the most romantic wee churches in Fife and then a drinks reception at Falside Mill with a traditional Polish couple welcome with bread and vodka!

In between times we took an advantage to whisk off our couple for a beautiful beach shoot before the celebrations contnued.

I hand over to gorgeous Bride Daniela….

How did you meet?

Ours was a holiday romance, we met on holiday in Ibiza. I was instantly drawn to Jordan’s pink swimming cap!

Tell us about the Engagement…

The engagement was very relaxed and a total surprise!

We had a fun day at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and on our walk home through the Meadows Jordan stopped and pulled a stunning ring out of his jeans pocket (he had been carrying it around loose all day!).

I was in complete shock, but on an absolute high for a good few months.

How did Covid impact your Wedding Planning?

Jordan and I were very lucky that apart from reducing our guest numbers from 150 to 20, not a lot else changed with our wedding plans due to Covid!

Admittedly, it was tricky cutting the guest list and we had a feeling we were letting people down, but everyone was so understanding.

The suppliers were all very accommodating and went the extra mile to make our day special.

Our venue Falside Mill let us use the smaller Mill Ring, which we actually preferred, because of the big windows looking out onto the stunning countryside views.

Our photographers, Crofts and Kowalczyk were amazing – they captured the day perfectly (even with the added challenge of the Covid situation) and made us and our family and friends feel totally relaxed.

Lazy Sunday Catering were really fantastic too, and provided the same delicious menu that we planned pre-Covid, just on a smaller scale.

We learned just to go with the flow while planning the wedding, especially with the constantly changing situation, and not to try to control every tiny detail. It all worked out wonderfully;  andwe truly had the best day!

What was you favourite moment of the day?

My favourite part of the day was arriving at Falside Mill after our photo shoot on the beach to find our family and friends enjoying themselves in the beautiful Scottish sunshine.

What advice would you give to couples getting married right now?

I’m terms of advice to couples thinking about having a smaller wedding I would recommend it 100%.

We had the best day with our closest family and friends and got to enjoy every moment without feeling overwhelmed.

Additional bonus is the cost saving that can go towards your eventual honeymoon!’
