Today I am thrilled to share the beautiful Surrey Wedding Of Arun and Tanya at Northbrook Park.

The Bride wore an Ellis Bridal gown and the day was filled with personal touches and spalshes of turqoise blue.

Northbrook Park is one of the premier Surrey wedding venues.

Set in 120 acres of parkland with views over rolling countryside on the Surrey and Hampshire border.

The privately owned Grade II listed eighteenth-century estate is set just outside of Farnham.

“From a photographers’ point of view, we also loved the fact that we had a really good amount of time to get a lot of different portrait set-ups.”

“This makes a huge difference on the day, and we’d encourage more couples to really set aside at least 30 to 40 minutes for portraits.”

How did you meet?

“We met in our university student union bar! We accidentally bumped into each other’s lips and the rest is history!”

 

When did you get engaged?

“We got engaged just after Christmas on 27th December 2012.”

 

Tell us about your wedding planning journey

“Like most engaged couples we started ticking the big things off the list quickly, wondering what people complained about!”

“However, as the big day got closer and the details crept in we learnt what wedding stress was!”

“We had a lot of little touches to our day which took a lot of preparation in advance, but many people commented how thoughtful our wedding day was, so it was all worth it.”

 

When did you get Married?

“We got married at Northbrook Park on Monday 18th August 2014.”

 

What was the best bit of your day?

The best bit of the day was definitely the ceremony. It was what we came to do, it achieving our “Married” status.”

“We had lovely readings and wrote personal vows which were meaningful to us.”.

“It was everything we wanted with fun included. The rest of the day and our crazy reception should also get a mention!”

 

What advice would you give to other couples getting married?

“We recommend you make your day about you.”

“Think about what is traditional or what your family would like to a certain extent, but do what works for you.”

“It is not possible to please everybody, so you should make the day about what you will enjoy.”

“Those who come for you will have a good time anyway!”
