“Irene and Ross were a couple both living and working in France, but who came over to get married in Scotland in Glenfinnan House Hotel on the picturesque bank of Loch Shiel on the 21 st May 2011.”
“The Wedding was held in Glenfinnan Church and the ceremony was lead in Dutch and English, as the groom was of Scots/English descent and the Bride Dutch.
Irene is a skilled trumpeter, as are her mother and brother and they played for her arrival at church.”
“The Groom, Ross was so emotional on the day and he shed a tear at the altar as he saw his bride was walking towards him down the aisle.”
“As they got married in the morning (a dutch tradition) they all went to enjoy Wedding Breakfast at the hotel.
A Piper piped them down from the church to the hotel as they walked in the rain and they just couldn’t stop smiling.”
“The couple had a wee break after that, and the guests went on a cruise of Loch Shiel.”
“Then it was on to the first dance, and ceilidh and it was just fantastic! The Dutch guests took also part in learning the ceilidh dances and it was all great fun.”
Thanks so much to Kamila and Luthien Photography for sharing this somewhat rainy but happy filled day with some lovely international and personal touches.
