A Dutch Touch – A Highland Wedding – Images by Luthien Photography

Today I am delighted to share the fabulous Scottish/Dutch Wedding of Irene and Ross shot in the lovely Scottish Highlands by Luthien Photography.

Luthien Photography are based in Birmingham but travel around the UK and further afield, their clients span both national and international origin.

They are two people, a man and a woman with two different points of view yet a similar style.
They specialise in modern & unique reportage wedding photography.

They  say ” We love to work with people.  Our friendly approach allows people to relax as we work together to capture every special moment.
In our work we merge digital as well vintage traditional film photography. Combination of these two different styles and visions result in natural and beautiful photos.
We  are constantly looking for inspiration in places and people, and learning about the characters of those people and the places we shoot allows us to do a great job.”

“Irene and Ross were a couple both living and working in France, but who came over to get married in Scotland in Glenfinnan House Hotel on the picturesque bank of Loch Shiel on the 21 st May 2011.”

“The Wedding was held in Glenfinnan Church and the ceremony was lead in Dutch and English, as the groom was of Scots/English descent and the Bride Dutch.
Irene is a skilled trumpeter, as are her mother and brother and they played for her arrival at church.”

“The Groom, Ross was so emotional on the day and he shed a tear at the altar as he saw his bride was walking towards him down the aisle.”

“As they got married in the morning (a dutch tradition) they all went to enjoy Wedding Breakfast at the hotel.
A Piper piped them down from the church to the hotel as they walked in the rain and they just couldn’t stop smiling.”

“The couple had a wee break after that, and the guests went on a cruise of Loch Shiel.”

“Then it was on to the first dance, and ceilidh and it was just fantastic! The Dutch guests took also part in learning the ceilidh dances and it was all great fun.”

Thanks so much to Kamila and Luthien Photography for sharing this somewhat rainy but happy filled day with some lovely international and personal touches.
