Today I am thrilled to share a beautiful, festive and Fairytale inspired Christmas Wedding with a stunning Ronald Joyce gown where the Bride really has her Cinderella moment.
Images were captured by Sarah at Mirror Imaging Photography.
Mirror Imaging Photography is run by Sarah Illingworth, a fine art photographer.
Mirror Imaging is based centrally to Nottingham, Derby, Mansfield and Newark, and cover all areas of Nottinghamshire, across the UK and abroad.
Working in an elegant and editorial style, she says of her work… “One of the reasons I first picked up a camera was to help positively change the way people (and particularly women) saw themselves and it still holds true today, and for every wedding and portrait I capture.”
“It is a combination of clean, beautiful photography and this level of empathy and understanding that is most often cited by clients as the reason they choose Mirror Imaging.”
“I strive to capture the best of everyone and everything, developing a simply beautiful style that won’t date or go out of fashion.”
Sarah says of the couples Big Day….
“In the build-up to their wedding, Hollie described to me her fairytale vision for her wedding day.”
“She wanted to feel like a princess and she asked Mirror Imaging to recreate some images taken from the Cinderella storyline, specifically leaving her ‘glass slipper’ on the stairs to fit in with their Disney themed wedding.”
“That’s exactly what we did for her and the resulting photograph is one of my all time favourite wedding images.”
“To continue their fairytale theme, their wedding cake was a ‘Once Upon A Time’ storybook by Gardner Cakes, the rose centerpieces in glass bell jars were a nod to Disney with red rose bouquets by florist and family friend Julie Humphrey, and they played Disney classics to mark the start of their wedding breakfast.”
“The day began in the Bridal Suite at Norwood Park, which provided a beautiful backdrop to the getting ready photographs.”
“Hollie’s spectacular gown by Ronald Joyce was a real show stopper and indeed fit for a princess, with crystal details all over the bodice and multiple layers of tuille.”
“They invited 40 of their closest friends and family members, which gave their day an intimate and warm atmosphere.”
“It also meant there was room to hold their ceremony in the main entrance and hallway at Norwood Park, with the log fire lit, adding to the ambience.”
“Hollie descended the stairs and she and Chris exchanged vows by the light of the Christmas tree.”
“After the ceremony, the couple served their guests cakes to stave off any hunger pangs, made by the groom’s mum.”
“Hollie wrapped up in a white faux-fur jacket and we took photographs around the grounds of Norwood.”
“We were blessed with a beautiful winter’s day, although very cold and crisp the skies were bright blue, and we made the most of the last of the winter sunlight to capture some beautiful memories.”
Thank you so much to Sarah for sharing this exquisite Christmas Wedding.
It encapsulates everything beautiful about the season with the rich warm colours, and twinkling lights.
I love how the Bride and Groom have subtly incorporated a little of the Disney theme without it overwhelming the day.
The florals are gorgeous, the storybook cake inspired and the Cinderella moment is one that we dream of from when we are little girls… enchanting!
