Today I share the work of Gillian MacLean of GigiCapture who captured this beautiful Scottish Wedding with some vintage inspired touches last Summer.
Gillian is quite new to the Wedding scene but recently moved to Edinburgh, and see’s her style of Photography as an aspiration to constantly fuse the truth of beauty with music, fashion and love with a bit of a Vintage slant.
She says of the couples lovely Scottish Wedding day,
“It was my great pleasure to capture the wonderful wedding of Alicia Nairn to Sandy MacDonald.”
“I had known the bride Alicia for some time so was very aware of her beauty but her groom, Sandy who I know from my school days, ( I shall not divulge how long ago that was! ) was one lucky lad!”
“The wedding took place in the amazing Old Kirk, Kilearnan on the outskirts of Inverness…it’s setting is quite delightful.”
“This church was rebuilt after 1800 but it includes parts of a much earlier building dating from medieval times.”
Then it was off to the Spa Pavilion in the Victorian town Strathpeffer for the reception, stunning food by Red Pepper, and a night of celebrations by local band Rhythm and Reel.
“The historic, stunning and unique Strathpeffer Pavilion, is set in a tranquil garden setting.”
“The Pavilion’s spectacular main hall is one of the largest spaces of its kind in the Highlands and is very adaptable to any kind of Event, and pefect for a Wedding.”
