Sometime its just nice to get back to love as the detail and share simple, beautiful photography so I am thrilled to share the secret Christmas Wedding of Caron and Paul captured by Stuart Craig.
Stuart is a wedding photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland and covers weddings and civil partnerships throughout the country.
On Christmas Eve Caron and Paul got married at Lothian Chambers in Edinburgh.
After being together for nearly 20 years, the happy couple chose Christmas Eve to surprise their family and friends with an unexpected wedding.
About 30 lucky folk witnessed the short ceremony in the chambers before Stuart suddenly found himself alone with the newly weds on the famous Royal Mile.
The Royal Mile is the name given since the 16th-century to a succession of streets which form the main thoroughfare of the Old Town of the city of Edinburgh.
As the name suggests, the Royal Mile is approximately one Scots mile long, and runs between two foci of history in Scotland, from Edinburgh Castle at the top of the Castle Rock, down to Holyrood Palace. (source).
The rain did little to dampen the spirits as they all headed off for a speed walk to soak up the festive atmosphere.
The couple seemed to be turning heads everywhere they went, especially when the Santa hat made an appearance.
What a great way to say I love you…and Merry Christmas!
