Today I have great pleasure in featuring the brand new 2013 Collection of one of the most talented ladies I know, Louise Graham of LHG Designs.
Once upon a time, inspired by the art studio she was sitting in as a student the dreams of LHG Designs were created. Clad with a degree in Product Design and a love of fashion and weddings Louise Hamilton Graham, set up her own business in jewellery and hair accessories.
With a passion for weddings, Louise launched Wedding and Baby in 2009. As a mum her time was limited, but as her family grew so did her business and team. Focusing more and more on hair accessories and jewellery, she launched LHG Designs as a sister site in March 2012.
LHG Designs is a range of Vintage inspired jewellery and hair accessories. Louise specialises in Jewellery and Headpieces made from Original Vintage components.
She reworks them to create one off wearable designs encrusted with Swarovski crystals and pearls.
The range includes Headbands, Bracelets, Earrings, Necklaces, Combs, Hairpins and Tiaras. Each piece of the signature range is designed and made by Louise, at her Studio in Renfrewshire, Scotland.
Inspired by both modern and art deco designs, Louise loves to create one off designs for customers.
Now LHG Designs have launched the first part of their 2013 Bridal Hair accessories collection.
Taking the influence from geometric forms and pattern along with the strong theme of lace and delicate flowers being seen in gowns, the collection reflects this.
This part of the new collection sees the most amount of pearls used in any of their collections so far!
Pearl patterns are layered and organza and lace have just the right amount of rhinestone sparkle added. Inspired by the geometric form of the Art Deco period Louise has used these in a different way.
Taking geometric shapes and creating patterns that form floral shapes! This collection is all about balancing both shape and form, hard edges are softened with vines of pearls and rhinestones.
The design process often starts on paper, but like most designers the process is all about evaluation. Louise constantly evaluates the design as it is made and keeps adapting it until she feels it is aesthetically right.
Natural daylight accented the images making sure the Collection was the main focus. Already in the preview period Louise is seeing some favourites being requested by both brides and stockists alike.
The collection will be available to view at various Glasgow wedding fairs in January and February 2013, with the official Launch being on Sun 17th Feb 2013 at a Designer Day at stockist Anais Bridal Couture.
